Product Description
The Wilton Pipe & Bench Vise is designed to handle the most demanding clamping applications. Unlike most vises that have a fixed center nut, the Pipe & Bench round channel vise nut is anchored at the rear, which provides straight line pull and even pressure resulting in greater durability. Round channel design also allows for a completely enclosed spindle and nut assembly which keeps debris out and lubrication in for a lifetime of smooth operation. For ultimate versatility, the Pipe & Bench vise is equipped with main jaws, pipe jaws and a machined anvil work surface. Self-centering pipe jaws are grooved to prevent rotation of round stock and have a two-step design to assure a firm hold of up to 6in. of pipe safely and securely. Both the main and pipe jaws are made from high strength steel and are fully replaceable. Vise is also equipped with a swivel base with dual locking nuts which allows for a full 360deg of rotation. Both the locking nuts and base have serrated edges that interact positively to assure a nonslip grip when tightened. Main base has four precast holes for mounting the vise to a work surface. A mounting template is included for quick no-guess hole placement for mounting. U.S.A. Best Vise Ever

I am a welder, and can kill a vise in 5mins with a plastic fork. Not this one, it is mounted to the back of my welding rig and can take any abuse I throw at it, sure it is expensive, but figure after 25 years it cost you 50 bucks a year.
