Just one issue

I like this tool. It came with an abrasive blade, so plan to buy a diamond blade. The only design flaw is that the kill switch is located close to the handle. With gloves on I keep grabbing it and accidentally turning it off.

No Ignition spark

Purchased in late December 2007. Worked perfect until it now has nospark (June 17, 2008) to the spark plug. Probably the on off switch is faulty. Can't find any blogs about the problem. Buy a Stihl instead.

Expensive but oem quality worth it. Unlike the much cheaper chrome version, the polished brass escutcheon does NOT include the two gold headed srews required thus the one star deduction. Had to use the old corroded ones.

Top-Notch Makita Quality As Usual!!!

90% of the power tools I own are Makita and I have never been disappointed. Mind you, I still have every Makita tool I've ever purchased since 1985....AND every single one of them is still in top operating condition. I also have a set of Makita air tools which include a framing nailer, brad nailer, and crown stapler. I can't recall whatever possessed me to purchase a Porter Cable angled finish nailer, but I should have known better. All my Makita nailers are working. My Porter Cable is not. I've replaced it with this Makita 15 Gauge Angle Finish Nailer and it is operating flawlessly. A very nice touch by Makita is they have already installed a quick-connect on the tool, so you don't have to buy one. Unfortunately no metal or plastic storage case. Based on measurements, I believe it will fit in a Makita aluminum case for a different tool. If I've done my research properly, I should be able to remove one layer of contoured foam and the tool should fit nicely. Will update you when the case arrives.A quick update. I ordered a Makita Aluminum Carry Case 823300-9 which came with a die-cut piece of foam for a drill. I lifted the die-cut foam out and this nail gun went in as if it were made for it. The inside of the case is completely padded, so no metal-on-metal issues. I purchased the case from TOOLSTOP in the UK. They ship FedEx to the US so shipping was a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

I always select Delta when I need faucets in my house. I've never had a problem with a Delta faucet -- and don't expect to. Delta faucets cost just a few dollars more than what you'd find at the home improvement stores but the Deltas are really well made and you'll get your money's worth.

I always been very happy with my very old Makita drill after 15 years of hard work my 9.6 volt 3/8 drive needed to be replace. My new Makita feels great and what a great drill I can tell this drill will last me for another 15 years or more.

I believe that a Makita tool is the best other than the Dewalt tools. I use this product with overall satisfaction. I use it to drill holes in 14 gauge steel plates without burn out. The battery running time is greater than I thought it would be in cordless tools. I inject a charged battery for every four hours of the construction job that I use it for. There is lots of drilling, and screwdriving screws into wooden frames. The screwdriver capcacity I do not need to charge the battery til every two days at a normal use. For those local union carpenters, this product is better than Dewalt corded or cordless. This is a great tool comes with two batteries, I am happy with the product and glad I purchased the product here at Amazon.

This is the drill that will last!

My husband has bought a few cheaper drills over the years only to have them break, malfunction, or sizzle-out after a short period of time. He wanted this drill for Christmas. Of course, all I could see at first was the price-tag. I'm happy to report, he's using this drill all the time and it works great, has not had one problem, and he has no buyers remorse (nor do I)! My brother-in-law built his home and this was the only drill he used throughout the project. You can imagine the use it had over the last 18 months and it is still going strong. I guess you get what you pay for. If you use cordless drills often and don't want to hassle with the $39 drills that break or quit working then this is the one for you. Keep in mind, these are the type of quality drills that contractors buy. We're happy with the purchase.

finally some torque! Watch out Dewalt!

I recently bought this drill to complement the 14.4 makita impact driver that I recently purchased. The drill they give as a bonus while nice, only has 350 in lbs of torque where this drill has 450. the difference is noticeable when you are boring holes for pipes and wires! This drill will spin a 2and 9/16 inch self feed bit no problem! There is a 3 speed gearbox, and a drill to driver switch that locks out the clutch, allowing you to save your desired clutch setting but turn it off for drilling operations. tne case is large enough for the drill and my impact driver and the NIMH batteries really do have better run time than any Ni cad. Get this drill, you wont be sorry!

Awesome Drill

Balance feels great...Has plenty of power, 1/2 " chuck, easy to tighten with one hand. Bought this a few weeks ago, and the kit came with upgraded batteries, from 2.6 mha to 3.0 with L.E.D.'s attatched and swivel out so that you can see in the dark. Comes with the handle...overall very happy with it, used it to drill 3" deckmate screws into trex with no problems and great control...feels like an 18 volt with the weight of a 14.4v. What can I say its the best drill used. Will keep everyone posted with any updates or new opinions.

All the Single Ladies...

Here's the thing: I can't tell you a whole lot about the technical end of this drill, nor about its full capabilities. What I can tell you is that I'm a single mom do-it-yourselfer who can't afford to call in help every time I need to hang a clock on the wall, put up shelving in a closet, put furniture together, or fix things. I received this drill second-hand as a gift, and I'd be pretty lost without it.So my review's for the ladies like me... even if you've never picked up a drill in your life, this one's easy to use, hard to screw up, and very reliable. It's not heavy or awkward, and it's a solid investment. There are a few tools you should have around the house, and a good drill is one of them. If you can afford this Makita, go for it.

Great unit

I have had this unit for over 4 years and love it. It comes with a utility valve to use with a garage kit or plain hose, I didn't see this and bought one! Some people say the don't like it because it's noisy but it is the same as a canister vac and in another room! Mine is in the garage and sounds fine. Only problem we have had is with power brush, wife broke its neck, but a part was only $25 and easy to replace. No bags works great! I liked it so much ,I bought two more for my son and daughter as a gift for their home. I installed it with no problems but buying a hole saw for $40 to get to the basement was a good investment.

A powerful performer - but controllable

This is a great product and the price is right. In two months, we've used it for everything from 1/2" quick holes (it goes about 2-3x as fast as our SDS-plus HILTI drill with the same diameter bit) to 4" core holes in pebbled-concrete. We drilled one 4" core through 16 inches of this type of concrete in 7 minutes yesterday. It does a great job - very comparable to the SDS-Max Hilti drills rented at Home Depot / Lowes. This drill is heavy to use overhead but manageable, and it's a joy to use downwards. The jackhammer feature is good for light to medium duty work, and conveniently allows you to rotate the bit around. Overall, we like it very much and would definitely buy it again.

Not too big, not too small

Bought this from Amazon for use around our ranch. I expect to use it mostly for digging in our heavy clay soil but have already had some drilling and chipping work that I've needed to do. It's been a great tool for the great price I got. After reading reviews for other Bosch rotary hammers, I decided 11263EVS was the right "hybrid" size for my use. It's large and powerful enough to do the digging and demo work that I'll be doing most frequently but no too big for occasional overhead use (and I didn't want to spend any more). If you're doing a LOT of one type of work, you may want to consider a rotary hammer that's bigger or smaller.Complaints that keep me from rating at 5 stars:1. Handle and trigger ergonomics. I have a hard time carrying the tool without switching it on--my hands are too big to fit in the smaller handle opening and it's hard not to switch it on when carrying by the larger handle.2. It's a variable speed tool but the trigger is on/off; you adjust the speed with a dial on the side. Perhaps this is the way they're all designed (I haven't compared) but its an annoyance, however minor.

I rented one of these first and was so impressed that I went out and bought one. Its weight did not go unnoticed but also did help to provide additional force when using. I would have preferred longer attachments but 18 inch were all that I could find.

Lifetime 72" Round Table

We needed a solution to seat 10 for dinner parties and this table works wonderfully. Once dressed with a nice tablecloth, you would never know it is a folding table. We have several other Lifetime tables and chairs; they are all well made, easy to store, and low maintenance. Highly Recommended.

Hosting a big dinner party is feasible!

We were going to entertain at least 10 people for dinner. Our existing round table can hold up to six only, so we ordered this 72" round table with chairs for occasion like this. It ended up 14 including my husband and me. The chairs are placed tightly in a big ring circling the table. Yet we still feel comfortable as the chairs provided us elbow room.We use the table as bed board when folding up. It looks great. It is light enough for us to move around. (We are both between 60 and 70.) The chairs are sturdy and comfortable.In addition, I feel good to buy something that is made in U.S.A. I would pay a little more to get quality that is made here.By the way, I found not all products from Lifetime are made in U.S.A. Some chairs look like the one I purchased here with a lower price are made somewhere else and the quality are not as high.

It's classy, but hot!

This piano lamp is just what I wanted: good indirect light, with a very nice design! The two arm adjustments ensure it's in just the right position to read the music, without the glare of a table lamp. The base is heavy enough that the lamp won't tip over, no matter how it's adjusted. And, the bronze finish and design are very classy. The only down side is that you have to be careful turning off the lamp. Because the switch is 6-8 inches down the cord, the first time I did it, I almost burned my arm on the metal shade. Children beware -- it gets almost as hot as a pancake griddle!

Solid lamp for a decent price

When I began shopping for a piano lamp, I discovered how pricey they are. You can spend hundreds if you want to. The House of Troy name kept popping up and this is one of their lowest priced offerings. It is perfectly satisfactory. Nice heavy base keeps it from toppling, even when fully extended. Decent craftsmanship. Lots of adjustments let you cast the light just where you need it. Overall I am very pleased. This lamp takes 2 tube-shaped forty-watt bulbs; I prefer the frosted kind because there is less glare.

the table has a nice bag to carry it in. there is a section for the legs and a section for the seat in the bag.
