The miter head and fence can be rolled up over the bar and positioned behind the fence when not in use. Primary fence not included.

5JessEm - The Best
By Just Another Woodworker
There's a lot of choices out there - But three things made me chose JessEm for my router setup -And along with it this Slide.1. I'm a relativley new woodworker. I wanted to buy - And USE - A system - Not spend my time creating/building one. JessEm had everthing I needed to put together a complete router table/lift/fence/slide/stand package. And they fit - And work - Together - Exactly and Precisely.2. The reviews on all their equipment are "top end".3. The quality of the stand - And the rest of the line are everything claimed. Built with precision - They deliver precise routing.I added a Porter Cable 7518 router (fits this setup perfectly), a Rousseau switch, and an HTC2000 Universal Mobile Base. And now I'm in really "in business".You get what you pay for - Do it right up front.Hint: Buy the JessEm 02021 4-Piece Tab-Loc Insert Ring Set up front. You'll want 'em and use 'em.Last Note: The Slide - Shown in the photo in Amazon, JessEm's on line catalog, and their printed brochure isn't what's shipped. The "old" model had an on/off detent switch. According to JessEm's Customer Service, they've upgraded the Slide - Doing away with the on/off switch. And that's what you get... Or should.

5can we go better than 5 stars
By D. L. Hartzell
this is another absolutely perfect, over built, amazing piece of engineering. it works flawlessly, bolts on easily, and works amazingly well. shortcomings? nearly none. the only two questionable points are that the slide comes within a millimeter of hitting the 4" dust collector hose attached to an adapter used on the fence dust collector port, and the slide when rotated out of the way interferes with the fence screw down handles a bit, and most notably the most distal end of the slide rests on the table and catches the edge of the acrylic height adjustment window slightly as you slide it across the table of the mast r excel table. a great product that makes routing perpendicular work a snap.

5Thing of Beauty!
By I. Peter
To anyone familiar with Jessem build quality, this Mite-R-Slide does not disappoint. It is so well-made and pretty to look at, you may never want to get it dirty. This is a premium accessory to the Jessem router table family. That being said, if you are patient, Amazon can deliver it to at a fantastic discount.I just finished assembling the Mite-R-Slide and attaching it to my Jessem router table. Although it looked complicated intially, the entire process took about an hour - thanks to the well laid-out instruction manual. The Mite-R-Slide is is built like a tank, and very easy to level and square up to the table and fence. Thankfully, the only parts left over were the allen wrenches included for assembly!Note that this Mite-R-Slide is only made to be used with the Jessem Mast-R-Fence. It is a spectacular piece of engineering and precision machining made in Barrie, Ontario Canada. Jessem router table equipment is also available from Rockler, but their stuff has blue anodized aluminum parts instead of the original red. Highly recommended!!

4Nice but expensive
By Michael W. Monti
I was resistant to purchase this item because of its price, however, once I recieved my Jessem Table Top, I realized that there were pre drilled holes for the stand. That fact, in conjunction with the fact that I was to lazy to custum build a table, and in the time I would've spent doing it, I figured this table would pay off. Now that I have it, it works great, its stable, assembly was easy, it does what its supposed to do.Locking casters would be a nice addition though, as I dont have much space. Four stars because of price.

4Sturdy Stand
By Ron B.
This is a heavy duty metal angle stand specifically designed for the JessEm router table tops. You can make it work with other table tops, including one that you build yourself. The holes in the JessEm tables are pre-dirlled and threaded to match the bolt holes (3 holes each side) in the top of the stand. It's sturdy. It would be handier if their was some storage available in the base of the stand. A storage bin could be built to sit on the lower braces, but I've not tried this.

5Great starter set for the GeoTrax trains
By Demeter Lamb
I love this train set! A friend gave this to our two year old son for Christmas and out of several different train sets, this has turned out to be by far the best. It is the most interesting and easiest to use, and with the very easy-to-use remote control and cool sounds it maintains interest for all ages.Ours has had 9 months of not-so-gentle use and is still going strong. The batteries have only been replaced twice (the second time was just last week) and it's had plenty of time in the toybox with batteries still in there (we hear the trains beep once in a while as they get jostled, but we have never bothered to remove them) Sorry the other reviewer has had such poor experience with the trains, but we have had no such problems. (We bought another train in January, and it, too has run great - we have yet to replace the batteries on that one) We don't pull it out every day, but it has definitely gotten a good bit of use. With regard to the tracks and other *stuff* in this particular set - all fantastic. This comes with enough tracks and things to do a variety of configurations. I love that it has a 'mountain' with a bridge so the train can go over and under. That is also great if you get the elevated track to expand it (that's what I would get next if you want to expand after this set) The windmill and factory (or whatever it is) are really fun. The train can make them move, or your child can turn knobs by hand to make parts move. Nice for promoting curiosity, problem solving and a bit of basic physics:) My son (almost three now) especially loves the windmill. He likes to remove the wind catchers and use them... um, creatively... For small children you do need to realize that there are parts of this that will likely be used as hammers and 'shooters' etc. BUT the tracks are easy to put together, and generally stay together very well. It really is good for 2 1/2 and up, as the manufacturer says. Our 11 month old daughter LOVES to watch the trains go around too... she also likes to sit on the track and move things around, which frustrates brother and dad, but it's durable enough to survive a bit of rough treatment and I really don't worry about it hurting her (although there are some small pieces which are potential choking hazards)I also really appreciate the details on the pieces. Straight tracks have little wrenches that have fallen off the trains (or perhaps left behind by workmen?) A tiny squirrel here, a piece of rope there... ALL the GeoTrax seem to have these small details in the molds, and the more I look the more I find. My son was the first to see a little owl looking out of one of the trees in a set we just got recently. They are the same colors as the rest of the pieces, but my husband and I are thinking about painting some of them. This is an aspect that really adds to the imaginative and dramatic play qualities of these toys.If you like them, these sets are more than a bit addictive... Mom and Dad keep wanting to do more and more elaborate set ups, so beware how much space could be taken up. So far we have been impressed and happy with all except for the "Workin' Roundhouse", but young kids really don't *need* anything more than this set and maybe an extra train (to make it easier to share with friends, sibs or dad) to be really happy and creative with their play.I recommend going to the Fisher-Price website to check out the details on what the different sets do and see detailed close-up pictures. Although none of the sets is all that expensive by itelf (given the quality, etc.) you can spend a lot of money if you get everything, so make sure you really know about what you are getting and that it is really what you want.

5Geo Trax Train Set
By Jill Aguilar
Love, love, love this railroad! As a grandma, I was looking for something that would be an easy "add-on" collection for my grandchildren while spanning different ages. Age 2 and up, are entertained fully and I can't get enough of it. A tiny bit of challenge to set it up the first time but it gets easier as one becomes more creative. I sit on the floor in the center of it all while the accessorie pieces entertain the little ones as they anticipate their working railroad. Amazed at the great dollar value. I'd gladly pay twice the price for each unit. Thrilled that I can continue to add on to the set at birthdays and holidays. No complaits whatsoever!!! Even the batteries are not consumed as quickly as I expected. Neat sounds, built well,so far--tantrum proof and my favorite toy! Definately a keeper!

5A great toy that lasts many years
By H. May
My son got his first geotrax set for Christmas of 2004 when he was three, and he still loves them just as much as he did on day one. It is a toy that is very easy for him to manipulate, as he ages, he's creating more complex layouts. It is also a wonderful toy to have to get his big brothers interacting with him. I overheard my nine year old tell a friend once "It may look like a baby toy, but it's quite fun actually." All the children enjoy playing with it together. It is also a nice set to expand, very easy Christmas and Birthday gifts for the past two years.I absolutely love this product, I love that it has not ended up at the bottom of a toy box like so many other things we've bought. It's still played with on a regular basis. It encourages creativity and imaginiation. I highly recommend it for 2-5 year old boys.

This player is sweet. When all you want is to listen to your favorite music this is the player. Plays music that you choose without any frills. The quality of the sound is superb. Download is a cinch. The size is unbelievable so you can jog or exercise without feeling any straps or bands. Doubles as a disk-on-key so just as easily you can transfer those other files.

    2Weak and outdated
    By Scott
This is Creative's attempt to capitalize on the success of Apple's Ipod Shuffle by producing a flash mp3 player with no display. This is basically the original Nomad MuVo, and two years ago when I reviewed that same product I gave it a great review. But that was two years ago, and an mp3 player without a display just doesn't cut it today. If you want a no thrills mp3 player for exercise, buy the original Nomad Muvo, which you can find brand new for about $15. If you're thinking of getting this, go ahead and spend the nominal extra cost to get the Nomad Muvo TX FM, which includes a display for just a few dollars more. One advantage of this is that it is easy to use. No software is required, just plug in the usb key to a computer and copy your music. You'll have to rename some of your files though to get it to play in the order you want to. Battery life is around 18 hours on 1 AAA battery, which is pretty good. The iPod Shuffle is successful because of marketing, not because anyone really wants an mp3 player without a display.

I wanted a no nonsense MP3 player to listen to while working outside. This unit stores about 4 hours worth of songs. It is simple, easy to use, and sounds good. It works great for me. Don't get this one if you want anything fancy. This is a bare-bones player.

5spoil yourself with this great amp
    By Bonnie L. Constantine
I won't go into all the terrific functions of this receiver, you can read them in the product description. What I will say is that the pure power and sound quality of this unit is exceptional. The included sound analyzer microphone included with the unit calibrates the sound to the dimensions of your room, size and quality of all connected speakers and compensates for the acustical liveliness of the listening environment. The end result in my case was that it sounded like in addition to a new receiver, I had all new speakers as well! My home theater never sounded so good. A good friend of mine who just finished with his 60k+ sound room commented "wow, this really sounds terrific". If you like connections, this units has a gazillion of them and is should be a challenge to try to fill them all up. Most of the added sound fields are so-so but in DTS or Dolby digital the sound is just golden. If you are a home theater buff, do yourself a favor and spend the couple of extra hundred dollors and move up to a great receiver. The price is actually quite resonalble for what you get and you will have no buyers remorse. Enjoy!

5All I Can Say Is WOW!
    By LOK
Finally, someone put together a unit that does video and audio the way I want to do it. It may not be for everyone, but the basics I've mastered on this puppy in an evening exceeded my wildest expectations. I have a really difficult audio room so I skeptically placed the YPAO microphone right where my head would be on the couch. I ran setup and it checked my speakers and wiring and then went through all the various settings (I recommend plugging your ears when it "listens" to each speaker. It's not the volume but the shrill test tones made my eardrums rattle, literally). When it got done it reported correctly the exact distance of each speaker. (I checked them with a measuring tape!) When I was done I hooked up Baba O'Reily (by the Who) for a tough-as-nails systems test. I cranked the 980 watt volume to half and it blew me out of my chair. It was the clearest sound I'd ever heard and was as good or better than a professional setup done by a friend who has spent years building systems. My poor head was at the center of each speaker. Dead on! Next I went to the video. Again, finally a system that has TONS of inputs including a whole row of audio/composite/SVideo for all my stuff, PLUS 3 component plugs and allot of optical and coxial plugs too. And the best thing is what I wished my old amp did...it finally sends out Video, SVideo, and Component regardless of your input. It simply dumbs it down, or emulates the upgrade to the higher quality. It doesn't make it better, but who cares, it finally makes it POSSIBLE. I always was puzzled when my old AV amp would only send out the lower quality signal (or none at all unless it matched). This baby is going to replace a bag full of switches, cables, converters, and redundant wiring. But lets not forget the AV audio, it was awesome. I can't believe how much better my Klipsch speakers sounded and the separation and presence of my Center was dead on. No more anemic DVD digital sound tracks. (Where there's too much soundtrack and I'm straining for dialog) And I can finally hear my rear speakers distinctly in surround! Almost forgot, the OSD from the unit. Another thing I always wished my old amp would do. When I switch inputs, change volume, mute, etc. it reports it for a few seconds on the TV sending it down whatever my output mode is. At last, a unit that will control it all and sound great!

5Simply Awesome Example of Yamaha Quality
    By Holly
I purchased this receiver back in 05-06ish. Prior to purchasing this model. I owned the HTR-5240 "home theater in a box" model. I along with anyone who came over to watch movies, etc. Would love coming to my house, because of the theater system. From that experience i am a die hard Yamaha customer. My Home Theater Setup at the Present time:Yamaha HTR-5890 receiverSony CDP-CE375 5 disc cd changerSony DVP-NS700H DVD playerJVC HR-S5000U HIFI Super-VHS player. (yes i still have a VCR integrated into my system). Very High End VCR though.JVC iART 32 inch CRT television. All video signals are connected via Component RGB cables. All audio signals are connected via Fiber optic cables.I purchased the 5890 model due to the fact that I learned the hard way, that the 5240 "theater-in-a-box" setup was internally designed for the speakers that it came with. lol. Found this out by hooking up a pair of Cerwin-Vega 3 way cabinet speakers with 12 inch subs 6 inch mids and a tweeter. i basically fried the power supply within a day of having it.So went to local Electronics retailer. Learned the fact listed above and sought after an upgrade. The 5890 was on sale, and so it was mine. I had drooled over it, a couple times upon window shopping. So i immediately decided to treat myself to it.Upon getting it home, and my buddy chomping at the bit, for me to get it hooked up and operating. I discovered one of my most favorite features of the 5890. Behold the YPAO optimizer program. I had found the microphone, while unpacking and was like what the heck is this? After trying to set it up, and reading the owners manual. I hooked up the YPAO mic, followed the directions, and within 10 minutes, and a few other things. We were watching the new Batman in THX sound mode. Let's just say I and my fellow friends were soo just over the top impressed with it. We were just speechless and in awe. You could hear the individual rain drops falling from all different speakers while hitting the cave floor in the movie. Since that night, and many many hundreds of movies, and cd's later. I am still astounded at the high quality of performance, reliability, sound reproduction, etc., of the 5890.I was surprised to see this listed as a 7.1 receiver. Since it is technically i believe in actuality an 11.1 receiver, being that it has 11 channels plus the Sub woofer output.I simply cannot say enough good things about this receiver. I have yet to even utilize all the features that this model offers. From the many many options of Sound stages, Remote Control capabilities, fine tuning of the sound field, and the channels. The expandability and the control features for 2 other "zones". Not to mention the absolutely astounding amount of NOMINAL wattage output this thing has. That allows you to "return the favor" to annoying neighbors above, below, to side, or even the neighbors of those neighbors if you live in an apartment building.I have only found 3 things that immediately come to mind that could be considered "cons" to me.1: It only has 2 Component Video Inputs. Not a big deal to me. Just means I have to run the video feed from my PS2 into the video input in the rear of the TV, and the audio into the receiver via a Digital Input. Just a minor setup issue that takes a minute extra. If I could i would add only 1 or 2 more Component Inputs. 1 for my specific needs. 2 if i were the Manufacturer and just wanted to top it off.2: The lack of HDMI input. This does not effect my situation.***If it does or might. Just run your HDMI video source i.e. Cable/Satellite Provider, DVD, etc., directly to the TV. Then run the audio feed into the corresponding inputs of the receiver. Problem solved.I do believe that there was a model that directly replaced this one. That offered the HDMI and a Satellite Radio inputs. Not sure as to if it offered the same nominal power output of the 5890 though.3: This "con" is more of a compliment, in that it is hard to find "wallet friendly" speakers that can actually handle the wattage output of the 5890. LOL.I think i have made my point. So in closing. I will summarize that if you are looking for a Home Theater receiver that will not cost you too much and has a lot of setup options, and built in features, and will most likely meet most anyone's needs or wants. Look no further.
