Great boot

I had seen these at a boot store in downtown Nashville and really liked them. I got them here for considerably less money. I'm glad that I did try them on in Nashville since I usually wear 1/2 to full size larger than this so they seemed to fit big.This brand is owned by Rocky Boots and is made in China. The leather is soft and they fit well. I wanted a casual looking boot that was comfortable and that I could wear motorcycling or just hanging out. These fit the bill just fine.

Great boots

I had a pair of cowboy boots that I lived in. Unfortunately I was in a rather severe motorcycle accident and ended up almost losing my left leg. I have had a problem with swelling ever since. As much as I loved my old boots I couldn't wear them because the shaft wasn't big enough to handle the swollen leg. I've had some ankle boots that I do wear but never really loved like those old cowboy boots. On a whim I started looking at boots here hoping to find some that I could take to the local leather shop and have them modified to fit. I loved the look of these slouch boots so I ordered a pair. to my (happy) surprise I found that with the soft leather shaft I could wear these just the way they came. I just have a little more slouch in the one because it has to be pushed down the leg a bit.When I first tried them on I expected to have a few weeks of break in like most of the boots I've owned over the years, but that wasn't the case. These boots were comfortable from day one. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great Speakerphone with Basic Features

This is a very basic Speakerphone. It only has call and answer capability, plus a conference button. The sound quality is great. It also works well plugged into the same outlet as a multi-line office phone.

Outstading Boots

These are the "ONLY" boots I wear. I'm tough on boots and wear the same pair every day. They last about 1 1/2 years and the comfort can not be beat with the rubber sole and heal. I said good bye to leather soles about 15 years ago. Here they call them "Accent Boots" but the real name is "Durango Farm and Ranch". Try a pair, you'll be hooked on these Farm and Ranch boots for ever.

a little tight

I always caution people about buying on line, articles of clothing or shoes that need correct sizing. For some reason I never take my own advice!!!Anyway, after doing some research on these boots and finding that Amazon had the best price I decided to order them. The problem I have with boots is that my instep is very high and boots generally make my feet ache with pain. These boots were no exception. I had recently purchased a pair of Nocona Cowboy Boots that fit so well that I figured these Made in China boots would do the same. Well, I was half right.The left boot fits great and feels comfortable after a week of wear. The right boot not so much. From the start it was a bit snug and as the day wears on the pain in my instep begins to increase. On a recent long drive I had to take the right boot off while in the car because my foot hurt so bad. Right now I'm trying to wear them and break them in and they seem to be improving but I fear it will be a while before I will be able to wear them pain free.If you have a high instep like I do beware. Perhaps find a store that sells these and try them on first. If you have normal feet - whatever that is - I would have no problem recommending these to you. They seem to be made well for boots Made in China and the leather is thick and the soles seem well made. The heal is hollow which worries me a bit for it may wear out sooner than others however, for the price, they are well worth the risk.I do have the option to send them back at no cost but I think I will hang on to them and see if they are truly as great as everybody states - I could find no reviews elsewhere that were other than 4 or 5 star. I suspect that the way I care for my shoes that these boots will last me a good long while and, once the sole wears away I'll probably try to find a shoemaker to have them redone.One more thing. If you buy the dark brown boot it's more of a chocolate brown and not the typical brown you might think.April 18, 2012 update. Been about 3 weeks now and the right boot is still a bit snug in the instep however, it is getting better and I believe that given enough time and wear these boots will be fine.September 13, 2012 update. Finally broke down and stretched the boot. My wife got me some of that leather stretching stuff from TV. I spayed the inside of the boot, put on 3 pairs of white sox and wore the right boot for a few hours then I wadded up some paper and wrapped the wad with a dish towel and stuffed it in afterwards. I let the boot sit for 3 days with the wad in it and finally, the boot slipped on and felt OK. Now I wear the boots to work every day but, when I get home, I stuff the wad and the washcloth in for overnight stretching. So far so good and, these are very comfortable and seem to be well built.January 13, 2013 update. Boots continue to become more and more comfortable with time. Great work boot. Keep my feet warm and dry even walking around in ankle deep snow.

Great all around fixed blade knife.

Pros: VG-10 blade steel, this is a very good steel for edge retention and ease of resharpening, very grippy handle, even when wet. Good chopper, used mine to chop up fiber board and old pallets for fire wood and kindling. It held it's edge very well. Nice, solid sheath with a smooth finish.Cons: None other than the button that locks the handle into the sheath is no longer black. This is a very slight issue.I am currently deployed to Afghanistan, this knife has come in very handy.

Flawless Knife

I already owned the Fallkniven F1 and wanted a knife with a little more reach and thickness for heavier tasks. I live in the pacific northwest and most of the knives out there can't stand up to the rain we get here. I don't have to worry about rust, its truly truly razor sharp, and the handle is excellent for handling in gloves or mitts.If you have any doubts about this tool, just search youtube for all the videos showing its toughness, and capabilities.If it was the end of the world and I could only have one knife. Out of what I own this is the one.

I have a decent knife collection which includes a Fallkniven S1 and Cold Steel SKR in VG1 San Mai III. The S1 is very, very good. Extremely sharp out of the box. Nice heft, nice grip and nice sheath. Thick blade which makes the knife very sturdy. Passes the copy paper slice test like a champ. Close to surgical sharp. Did not have to resharpen it yet so can't talk about that. This blade comes from Japan so technically its a Swedish design, but Made in Japan knife. The S1 and SKR are very similar. But VG10 steel is 'supposedly' superior to VG1 so there you are. If you have the money get the S1. If you are on a budget get the SKR.

Great knife, a little expensive, sheath could be better

The knife itself is excellent. Prior reviews have said this is razor sharp. The only edge I've encountered aside from a razor that I'd call "razor sharp" is a broadhead. So don't expect to be able to shave with it. But for all other uses it is great. Well made, beautiful finish, full tang, slim profile. The rubber handle resists scuffing surprisingly well. I've scratched up the blade and it polishes right out. Sharpens easily. Thick enough to pry wood, sharp enough to filet fish. Only drawback is the handle could be more ergonomic- my first 3 fingers and thumb do most of the gripping. But I still give the knife a 5 out of 5. It's the best one of its size I've ever had and is the sharpest of all my knives.The sheath needs to be redesigned. Mine came with the zytel version. Too much unnecessary plastic; creates a bulky sheath and top-heavy carry, detracts from the slim benefit of the knife itself. It's functional and I've had no problems with knife retention, but I'm always keeping my eyes open for a better one.Price is on the high side for what you get. I brought it down by using a gift card and was comfortable with the final cost, but at normal price with the sheath being what it is the whole deal is a bit expensive. I wouldn't have bought it without the gift card but if you are comfortable with the price go for it, it's a great knife.5 star knife, 3-4 star sheath and price.
