Chinese-made checkers with junk marbles

Not very happy with this product. Marbles are poor quality, irregular sizes and shape, with some having defective glass flaws and the colors are not good. The red marbles are so dark they are hard to distiguish from the black marbles. The others are "wierd colors". Wooden playing board is good quality with evenly drilled recessessions for the marbles. It's only 12 inches wide but sturdy. The pouch provided to hold the marbles is stiff plastic and useless, as it can't be closed to retain the marbles. I put them in a Ziplock baggie. I do not recommend the product.After playing with this product a few times I must downgrade it. The spaces between the marbles are so small that for an adult to pick them up to move them is difficult, or impossible, without disturbing adjacent marbles. The poor quality marbles make it even more difficult to reliably pick up a marble with two fingers. It is obvious that a 12-inch board, however well made, will not effectively support standard size marbles. I haven't tried an 18-inch board yet, but will keep looking. Those two characteristics alone (board size and marble size/quality) make the product a non-starter. I do not recommend this product.

Very aesthetically pleasing game

I bought this as a birthday gift for a former woodworker when she turned 89. She loves playing this game partly because this particular version is so aesthetically pleasing. I agree. Both the wooden board and the glass marbles are very nice to touch as well as to look at. This makes the game especially nice for adults.I believe that children, too, would like it because of the marbles.

Good Buy

Quality of the game board--B+, pretty smooth, nicely finished, slight rough finish in few of the "dimples".Marbles--A, good colors, few with slightly noticeable size variance.It comes with a small fabric pouch, but you can't put the game board and the pouch w/marlbes back in the box without some struggle.Unlike those plastic sets, this will last a long long time. Great game for me and my 3-yr old.

Works wonderfully in Anchorage, Alaska

XMS does not market the service in Alaska, too far north and west (plus Anchorage has a mountain range that creates a shadow). All the TV satellite dishes here point at the SE horizon.No local retailers support XMS. I bought a Yamaha RX-797 receiver that was XMS ready. However, I was unable to buy this unit in Alaska (and many other online retailers refused to ship it to me here).So, I ordered it from Amazon. The unit from Amazon arrived, I hooked it up, pointed it southeast (through a wall) and immediately got XMS Preview. The signal is clear as a bell.I am a happy man!

Perfect

I tested my unit in an industrial setting that was measured to have 25% total harmonic distortion at times. That is a condition that will cause any connected transformer to audibly buzz. Once connected through the Furman, the buzz is no more.

This handy power conditioner is every bit as good as advertised. And it comes with a decent price tag.I use this at work to help eliminate power hum in speakers. Sometimes other functions to help stablize power.Furman makes great products and I find this to be no exception.

CLEAN POWER

Simple clean power and surge protection. If you only need 2 power outlets or two components to protect the Furman AC215 is an excellent choice. I live in South Florida and the AC215 was immediately tested during a severe thunderstorm and performed flawlessly protecting connected component. The vendor Audio Advisor shipped the product promptly and exceptionally protected.

Handsome - Functional Watch

This is a fine 12/24 hour watch. It looks good, keeps perfect time and offers some nice features. It has a hand that can be used to give time in 24 hour format. The hand can also be used as a dual time zone keeper. However, if you set it for local time and point the 24 hour hand in the direction of the sun, the 12:00 position is pointing pretty close to due North; close enough to get you out of trouble if need be. Just a little trick from my military days. I'm also deaf from my army days, so the alarm is useless to me, although other people around me tell me my alarm is going off, so I guess it's a good alarm as well. And, it's attractive. The picture here does not due it justice. I'm glad I saw it in a store because I doubt I would have purchased it from the pictures here.

This is definitely fit the mold of "to good to be true". Until it rolled out of the box it could not believe it. I was renting it's big brother just like it while waiting on my electric to arrive but wanted a light weight travel model to toss in the car.This is it.Drug stores in the area and other wanted from 430 to 460.00 for the exact same chair plus taxes and assembly in some cases and this was ready to go for some 19?.00 shipping included. (can't remember exact amount)It's perfect for what I wanted. I'll never get over the price.Makes you wonder how many more things we pay twice what it's worth. You can bet these people that sold this cheep made a profit.Give it a 6 out of 5.

Lightweight Wheelchair review

This chair worked out very well for my mother. It is lightweight, manuevers easily, fold easily. The only problem we had was the footrests were not sent with the wheelchair. I called Amazon, they referred me directly to the company, I e-mailed them and received the footrests promptly. The original shipment came within 3 days, no additional charge. We are very satisfied. We did purchase the slightly larger chair so Mom could put her purse, etc along side of her. She says the chair is comfortable, and it is easy for us to push, so it's a win-win.
