5I love the Sauder's Harbor View Antiqued White product line!
By anonymous
-------------October 2011-------------I bought three pieces of Sauder's Harbor View, all in Antiqued White color.1) two libraries with open shelves and one library with cabinet on bottom. I could not be more pleased. I've read other people's reviews not recommending these pieces. I have no experience with Sauder's other product lines and colors, so what I say here is in regard to Harbor View Antiqued White.1) If you need a particular piece of furniture for an event (like guests are coming), you have to give yourself and the manufacturer three months' lead time. If you need a piece of furniture fast, buy from your local furniture store at ten times the price.2) Yes, pieces are going to arrive damaged. Of the above-mentioned order, FedEx had done something drastically damaging to two of the three bookcases in transit, sent the boxes back to the shipper, I got notified through FedEx tracking about the delay and why, and in two weeks, two replacement bookcases arrived. In addition, of all three bookcases, one or more individual pieces arrived damaged.Sauder.com has an wonderful all-automated way for you to notify them of exactly which pieces you need replacements for; within two weeks, the pieces arrive. All of this is done no-charge. I order the replacement parts, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. No fuss, no muss.3) 95% of whether your bookcase comes out right or not is the responsibility of the installer. Regarding cabinet doors, you have to tweak them to get them to line up, and/or shut properly. In any case, you don't have to live long-term with feeling dissatisfied--do something about it! Our cabinet doors came out ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY because my hubbie is a woodworking hobbyist and knows how to finagle cabinet doors "just so." If your cabinet door is not right, there are only two possibilities: a) the door is defective, in which case go on the Sauder website and order a new door. b) Whoever installed the door didn't know what they were doing; view videos on YouTube on how to finagle a cabinet door. Or both. But stop complaining. My experience of Sauder has been positive. Don't expect Sauder's furniture to be high-end. I call Sauder's Harbor View product line as "high-end Walmart," because that's what it is. Sauder's products I call "honest" furniture: it isn't touted as being anything than what it is, and has a low price-tag to boot. We call them big Heathkits, without the electronics. On the other hand, honesty is not what you get when you go furniture-shopping at mid- to high-end furniture stores (like EthAl). They have what I call "fake" furniture because when you "look under the hood," it is no better than Sauder's: they attempt to convince you that pieces deserve astronomically high price-tags, and charge 10 x Sauder. Go shopping to any EthAl stores and inspect the innards of cabinet pieces (like wall units), you'll see how thin the sides and tops are (they hardly qualify as being sides and tops) and that many of the surfaces are no more than a veneer with fancy sprayed-on lacquers. There is very little (if not no) solid wood involved.------------------------FURNISHING WHOLE HOUSE------------------------Just so you know, over the next year, I'm furnishing our whole house with Sauder's Harbor View Antiqued White pieces, from armoires to dressers to TV credenzas to bookcases to desks. On a budget, I will furnish a whole house for under $5,000. Try to beat that. We'll be getting two or three pieces at a time over the next year-and-a-half. Only after one batch gets installed do we order the next batch of 2,3 pieces. If you go to a furniture store, you can easily spend $5,000 merely on a wall unit; you go broke real fast. Since I'm sticking to one product line/color, over time we will move be able to swap Harbor View pieces from room to room and it'll still all match.--------------MY WISH LIST--------------I wish the Harbor View product line included a tall and thin (15"-20" wide x 72" or higher) bookshelf/cabinet combo like Walmart's Better Homes and Gardens Cottage Linen Tower but taller. I got a piece like this from Walmart to be store toilet paper and books and doodads. I wish it had a little drawer (I'll probably put a basket on one of the shelves).I wish the Harbor View product line contained executive desks and cabinet and bookcase combos, which would be in my sewing room as a crafts' center with sewing machine as top-billing.--------------JANUARY 2012--------------I bought two Sauder armoires. One we put together this weekend and one has replacement parts pending. Like I said before, ordering replacement parts is not only typical; it's a given. So don't slam the manufacturer or distributor for faulty pieces; it can't not happen. That's why you bought your DIY well ahead of time! Because we are using the armoires to store bed linens and towels (not TV), my hubbie added shelf-holes. We'll build a couple shelves for each armoire.Regarding touchups: The surface appears to be a thin contact paper and *WILL* need touchups now and then. I disagree with using Sauder's touchup "wax"--we tried it and actually made the boo-boo far worse. For touchups, I'll be using Valspar paint color Woodrow Wilson Blush 3002-8BC. I'll let you know how it turns out.---------SUMMARY---------I recommend Sauder's Harbor View Antiqued White line. It is a comely collection, with lots of added details creating interest and the allure of comfort (my words).----------------------------------------------------HOW MANY SAUDER'S HARBOR VIEW PIECES BOUGHT SO FAR----------------------------------------------------Five.

Absolutely beautiful. I actually put it together by myself and I am 62. Was very concerned that I would not be able to. It looks great in my Livingroom.

Bought this for our daughter. Looks nice and is pretty solid for the fact that it is not wood. Putting it together was the main drawback.

4Almost Flawless
By M. Danna
I started with buying Pioneer, the moved to JVC, but Clarion blows them any any other model out of the water. The unit sounds awesome!! You can tell 10 fold from the MOSFET Amplifier that is in the unit and the anti-distortion filter. My only complaint is that it has problem playing a lot of recorded cds (cdrs). I keep getting the "Error 3" message which is supposed to mean that you have a scratched disc, but in fact the disc isn't scratched.I am so satisfied with the unit that I can overlook that.

Product Description

The most impressive model in Bandai's history is finally here! This kit has too much to list in detail, so please be willing to settle for the highlights:

30 plus runners of parts (670 total pieces). About 30 locations secured by metal screws. Two different locations light up on the finished kit (eyes and chest). Full inner mechanism detail on all limbs. Opening panels on the head, chest and more. Fingers are individually-jointed. Comes with two beam sabers and two huge beam rifles. Locking systems provide stability so things don't flap around like they do on the Master Grade kit. Comes boxed in three separate inner boxes plus a special box that contains the 14 individual "feathers" made from plastic coated thin metal plus the metal joint parts, screws and other goodies. Two separate manuals are included. The first, the INSTRUCTION manual (Japanese Text only) has numerous photos of the kit in various construction steps plus painting guide, history of the unit and the Battle Zero unit, cross sections and an interview with the designer of the kit. The second, the CONSTRUCTION manual has the actual assembly instructions and details. No English text but the diagrams are self-explanatory.

This is a very complex model kit. It is not recommended for beginner modelers.

5Masterpiece
By Isil Nemura
Okay, so it came very quickly. The only down-side i had was i had to order twice since a carrier (No fault of Amazon) couldnt "find" my address. But i called Amazon, and they got that cleared up and sent to me very fast. Once it came i spent an entire weekend building it. It looks gorgeous and is only for those with experience building gundams. I have built several and this presented me with a challenge or two building it. First major challenge was the wiring. it tells you certain lengths to cut then shave down to bare wire. cut exactly how much wire they tell you, with maybe 2mm extra in case you're like me and need to expose the wire multiple times for re-wiring. Pay attention to the color of the wire shown in the instructions, yes it does matter. Also, it didn't come with the batteries, but those were easily found and purchased at a local jeweler/watch shop. Also have some glue handy, as some of the snap in parts don't snap in and stay perfectly. Once it was done, i was very proud of myself. the level of detail is unreal. it's a little wing-heavy once you try to pose, so i would get a wide stand, with multiple arms if you can find it. But this is the best gundam i have ever, and well worth every penny.

3Amazing design, bad weight distribution
By Danielle Rega
This was the first PG gundam i have built, and, to be honest, this model kit was a little different than expected. I, unfortunately, mean this in a negative way. Here are my likes and dislikes:+ I LOVE THE DESIGN!!!!!+ More detailed than what i expected= Rather time consuming to build (I was able to finish this within 3 days, but its rather justiable because there are a crapload of parts- The weight distribution is quite off, so this model kit is more for display over posing- The parts remain very durable for a few days, then everything starts falling apart (Aargh!)Verdict: If you liked Endless Waltz and this version of Wing Zero, this is a must buy, but for big Gundam model collectors, this should only be used for display not posing

4Awesome Kit
By That guy
I just finished with this kit and having done a few pg kits prior i know what I like and what i dont. It is a beautiful kit once it is complete all though some of the parts dont stay one quite as well as I would like but nothing the super glue trick doesnt fix. I painted mine black and gold and it is awesome. The only massive downside to this kit is the wiring. I had it working perfectly and once it was all put together somthing inside must have shifted and the chest wont light up now. being the jerk that I am I am not taking it all back apart to fix this lol. The wiring takes precision and I would not recomend this for new gundam builders. However if you can over look its small flaws it is a great addition to have.

4Great Value, Great Performance
By Erik Chew
I am an audio tech at my church and we, due to negligence of others, go through wireless microphones like toilet paper. We're a small church, so I could no longer justify paying higher prices for premium gear. My budget used to be around 600-1000 for microphones. Now it's less than half that. No point in burning cash if you're just going to have to buy a new mic in 3 years, right?I got this microphone after reading some reviews. I don't like plastic bodied microphones but when your budget is as low as mine, you have no choice. I took it out of the box and was surprised by the build quality of the microphone and receiver. It uses AA batteries, and it has charging contacts so you can dock it, but I have not been able to find the charger on sale anywhere.Range is very good on this microphone. It can go quite far without degrading the signal. It's also quite sensitive. We have a very soft-spoken pastor and this microphone really helps pick up his voice without having to increase the gain on the mixer.I can't say much for the battery life since it's my first use. Will update as I get more mileage out of this microphone.I love the fact that the package includes rackmount brackets. Now I don't have to pay insane prices for them. Sennheiser charges almost $60.00 for two pieces of metal and a few screws. Ridiculous.Overall, the best microphone at this price point.

5Slightly Different Than Advertised
By Joseph
I ordered this microphone as a replacement and therefore wanted it to be an exact match for the old mic, the ATW-T220. Everything in the description (including the picture) indicated that this was the exact match, however the unit I received was the ATW-T220a model, which is probably technically identical but aesthetically different (mic is all black and does not have blue band on it). The mic works great and so I am keeping it, but what they are advertising here is the "a" version of the ATW-T220.

5Shure sounds great!!!
By Stephen V. Waters Jr.
This microphone does the job!....great sound, easy to set up, and haven't had a single problem with it! I certainly don't get any "extra noises" from this microphone as I ever did with a wired microphone! It doesn't pick up every single "puhhhh," "sssssss," or "plunk" when touched or tapped. I'm very happy with it....Only thing though, I recommend getting rechargable batteries...as you'll need to have an extra pair or two if playing long shows as do I....usually 4 hours plus. Most batteries and brands last a good 4-7 hours....but sometimes it just seems that some brands don't last as long as the others...cheaper in the end to just buy the rechargable ones....it doesn't take long...and they last a good while! Thanks Shure for making such a wonderful microphone!!! Will certainly stay with company forever!

4US SOUND & LIGHT STAY AWAY!! Defective product, Blackmailing me to give them a positive review.
By Ryan James
So I was really excited about this purchase, I'm a singer. songwriter, producer, in NYC, and I'm starting to perform a lot, so this was a must have addition to my arsenal of musical equipment. Unfortunately, I received a defective mic & didn't realize it until the night of my show; I had never tested it before then. Lesson learned. I tried everything & then called Guitar Center & they told me to bring it in & see if they could fix the problem. Well turns out it was defective after all, no sound at all. Just a bad mic. So I wrote a negative review on US SOUND & LIGHT's page & wanted to exchange the mic for a better quality version, effectively giving the company more money, even though I received a defective item.Well... Paul from US Sound & Light was supposed to send me a prepaid UPS return label, but today I received this email: "I was just looking at the info, and it looks like the feedback never got changed as we agreed. I have no problem sending prepaid tags, but would do so in return for the feedback being turned to a neutral or positive. Please let me know what you want to do. Thanks."I replied, "I will give you glowing feedback once I receive a working microphone. I never agreed to change it before the transaction was complete. I said, "I will change it", I never said when.Paul replied, "No problem. I had thought we had an agreement. You can defintely depend on us based on the feedback, and for us to spend extra money above and beyond what we should according to our return policy, we need to have something worth it like good feedback. If you want, you can ship to the following address based on our return policy... Once received, we will either exchange or give you credit towards the other microphone. If you would like to include a postage receipt with the order, once positive feedback is received and you have a working microphone, we will gladly reimburse you for the postage. Thanks."I found his response more than outrageous & so I replied back: "I want to be satisfied that I can depend on your company and service and I will nothing but good things about your account. So basically I'm not getting the pre-paid ups label because I haven't changed my review? You understand that you're basically blackmailing me. Demanding positive feedback and receipts so that you're satisfied.Remember, I'm the customer here, & this isn't sitting very well for me. I expected, nothing but the best service, but I have not received it."Paul from US LIGHT & SOUND basically blackmailed me to change my negative review of their company on Amazon before I sent my mic back & refused to send me a pre-paid UPS label, STANDARD PRACTICE FOR DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE, because I wouldn't change my review.I will now change the review to 1 star as I was actually blackmailed into changing a review & rating of their company, denied shipping & everything else. So I called shure and they're going to repair the product for me & they instantly sent me a pre-paid UPS shipping label. I will never deal with US LIGHT & SOUND AGAIN. STAY AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY!!!After all this, the microphone is professional grade quality & can be relied on to give a clear clear performance, the only downside to this model is that this model has less channel options, meaning if there are a lot of tv stations or radio interference it might be harder to find a good channel, especially in NYC, as the guy from Shure informed me. The quality of the more expensive mics are the same, but if have the extra $100, and live in a metropolitan area, traveling & singing, I would invest in the more expensive versions so you have more channel options. The Shure guy told me that's basically the only difference with these mics, channel options. Shure PGX24/SM58 Handheld Wireless System, H6

ART DTI Hum Eliminator Product Description:

  • Reduces hum and ground loop noise
  • Flat and wide frequency response
  • Handles high signal levels
  • Maintains isolated balanced output
  • Clean and neutral sound

Product Description

Okay, you've heard it. We've all heard it. That nasty, annoying hummmmmmmmmmmm that infects your sound and you can't get rid of it. Chances are, you've got a ground loop plaguing your otherwise-awesome tone. How do you kill the ground loop noise? You grab ART's affordable DTI. DTI stands for "Dual Transformer Isolator," but that's just wise-guy talk for HUM ELIMINATOR. With ¼", XLR, and RCA I/O, you won't have to deal with adapters to get this baby hooked into your setup. And there's no real need to get into the nitty gritty of how it works or why it does what it does. All you need to know is that when you can't afford to chance it with hum issues — live sound, PA, DJ, install.. whatever — you want to have one of these black anodized guys ready to go. Get the DTI — you won't regret it!!

5TRANSFORMER SAVIOR
By Mark King
I work in a small studio that creates music content and broadcasts live video shows over the internet. Sometimes we simulcast to three different mediums (two audio-video encoders and one audio-only encoder). The output of our mixer also feeds several headphone amps in the studio. All-in-all it's a big recipe for ground-loop hum, the splits to the video encoders are the biggest culprits, suffice to say it's an engineering nightmare. Our hum and noise problem got very big when we added video to our broadcasts and it seemed like there was no way to get rid of it. We already have a 3-way splitter transformer on the output of our console and there was no way to add another one without degrading the sound. I tried a 1x4 distribution amp but it did not have the isolation to break the ground-loop hum so that was not an improvement, indeed, it was actually a step backwards in some ways.We had a big show coming up and I really wanted to fix the audio but I did not have time to build another transformer isolation box for the inputs to the video encoder so I turned to my friends at Amazon for a solution. To be honest, I did not think this box could possibly work. I normally pay more for one raw audio transformer than this completely assembled two-channel unit. I ordered one and got it in two days as promised. Our studio mixer had one set of unused RCA outputs for hooking up to a stereo recorder. I used these to feed a signal to this little ART box, then I used the RCA outputs from the ART to feed into our video encoder. PROBLEM FIXED.I was stunned at the tone quality the ART produced. We are doing music, it's a full range rock band, deep punchy kick drums, mondo bass guitar, screaming guitar leads, sweet cymbals and amazing harmony on the vocals. We record the show right out of the encoder so we have a reference file of what was broadcast. After the show I listened to the recording and it was very impressive, not only was the hum gone but the whole signal seemed cleaner and better in ways that it should not have been. I don't know whether the HUM had been causing high intermodulation distortion or what, but what I do know is our music that is going out on the internet is sounding like we want it to sound, big, full, rich and hum-free.The variety of input and output connectors on this box allows it to be connected in lots of different ways. We're in the process of moving to a larger studio and I will be adding a few more of these to solve other problems in our personal monitoring system that the performers listen through.I did some tests in my lab to determine the quality of the transformers inside this ART box. To be honest, it does change the frequency response slightly but not in a hugely adverse manner. Bass frequencies below 50 hz are a little more distorted on very loud signals, that is what I could measure in the lab. In the real world nobody is going to hear the slightly degraded sound and everybody is going to appreciate the removal of ground-loop hum.If your hum is caused by some other source this box is not going to get rid of it, it's not a hum canceling or hum removal sort of thing. It removes hum by breaking ground loops, plain and simple. It does that well as far as I can tell and at this price it is a real winner.

5It's a miracle worker...
By DVDbean
After months of struggling with buzzing from two of my powered monitors, I finally decided to try the ART DTI and it has worked perfectly.I have an "active" 7.1 surround system with XLR connectors on each speaker, but unbalanced RCA outputs from the surround processor. 5 of the 7 speakers were fine, but the two surround-back channels had a consistent, loud buzz. After too much time trying everything I could think of to find common ground (including stringing extension cables all over the room to the different outlets), I finally ordered the DTI. Once in place, the buzz was gone, and the speakers sound as good as ever (I can't detect any degradation in the sound). The box itself is extremely high quality (metal, not plastic), and the jacks all appear to be high quality. It's a passive unit; no batteries or external power is required. All in all, I've very impressed.

5Almost returned
By OKMrazor
I got this online and almost returned it when I received it. Felt awkward at first. By the end of the day I knew I'd probably keep it. Had it 6 months now, and by the end of the first summer (heat was a concern) I know I've found the answer. It's great.I do mostly finish carpentry, with some framing mixed in, and the flexibility of this is key. No bags usually, but I can easily add if I feel I'll need them for the day. Very configurable, comfortable and waaaay easier on and off than a belt. Support and balance is awesome.Always hated belts, and now I'm pretty sure I'll never use 'em again....

5Changed my mind about tool belts
By No more sore back
I've had tool belts in the past and hated everyone of them. A co-worker had recently purchased these and kept praising them. After about a year he broke me down and got me to try them on. I bought a set that week. Best decision I ever made. Makes my work day so much easier.

By Mike k
This is very well made and seems like it wood last a long time. I wore it for 2 days and since it hangs from your shoulders my neck was killing me! I'm not sure if I just needed to wear it longer and then maybe I would get used to it? I would have given it more of a chance if that was th only problem. I am a remodeling contractor that builds additions on a regular basis so that means a lot o outside work in the heat. I felt like I was wearing a coat! I do very well in the heat and this thing was killing me. I you don't like suspenders with your tool belt then you will not like this!
