GeoSafari Talking Globe

After determining that our family needed to purchase a globe, we decided on the GeoSafari Talking Globe because in addition to having a nice globe, you also have a fun and educational electronic game that can run on either batteries or an AC adapter (neither are included). The globe itself is a nice quality and made by the George F. Cram Co. The game is easy to play with one to four players. The only negative point that I see, is its potential for breakage due to its plastic meridian. However, with careful usage, this should not be an issue. We have, in years past, also purchased the GeoSafari Laptop and the GeoSafari Talking Globe Traveler, and they are still going strong (with the occasional need for fresh batteries). 26 of 26 people found the following review helpful.
It will be nicer when my daughter gets older

My daughter has been asking a lot of questions that are harder to answer without visuals so that's why we orderd this globe. The globe itself is pretty nice and will serve the purpose I was hoping for but I thought the talking globe would be more fun for her. Unless I am mistaken, it is only a quiz game and the questions are pretty tough. They are not even questions that the answers can be found on the globe but I guess it's enough for food for thought. Hear the question and if you don't know the answer, do the research- maybe it will make her more curious! 65 of 72 people found the following review helpful.
 slightly dissapointed

I am quite disappointed with this product because it doesn't do what I expected. I brought this for my seven year old son because he loves to learn about different places. I thought the globe would help him learn by pointing to a place and telling him about it. Instead, it just plays a game asking questions. Yes, he can learn by this type of interaction, but that is not what I wanted from this product. I thought I had search the internet enough and had found what I wanted for him, I didn't. In my opionion, it would be a great institutional learning aide for a classroom environment. Perhaps for an older child this would be a more useful learning product. I'm a big dude and I tend to break drum thrones so I decided to spend some money and get a really great one. This is the best drum throne made. Your fat ass will not break it at all. Solid and Comfortable

After sitting on the Roland throne that came with my kit, I was really glad to get this throne. It is comfortable and though it has the traditional, round shape, it sits really well. I love that it adjusts high (as I am 6'2"), is super stable, and everything about it! I got the backrest a few days after I got the throne and put it on tonight...totally awesome. Arrived quickly, easy to assemble, well made

I ordered this for my mother who has lower back problems. Her physical therapist has her lay on her back and put her feet up on this stool. It's height is adjustable and the top is leather (or leather like, anyway, it feels nice) and it's not very large (maybe 15 inches tall and about 20 inches long and about 12 inches deep. It's hard to see but the stool has suction cups on the bottom of the feet, I guess this prevents slippage. The colors are very neutral, she got one in "dove" which is a grey-brown color. Great dried cranberries

Since I retired I seem to spend more time in the kitchen and down to the camper. I enjoy doing it to share with others now that I don't have to hurry up and cook. It seems, me included, enjoy oatmeal raisin,craisin cookies and they always seem to be easy to grab for a snack or to finish a meal for a light desert. Even my 28 year old grandson thinks they are good and he is not a sweet eater. His comment is that they don't taste like oatmeal and I assured him there is oatmeal in there.I bought the big 10 pound container and split them up into smaller packages. overpriced

I am a massage therapist and I have used Khepra in the past for my client's sessions. I had always felt the price was high but I loved the balm and endured the cost. However, during a recent episode where I was running really low and hadn't ordered a new bottle from Khepra yet, I ran to the local beauty supply store and bought a 128oz bottle of their "foot balm" for $8.95. The smell is similar to Khepra, as is the ingredient list, and the usuability for foot massage. Massage therapists don't make very much, so to find this savings is tremendous. Love Dual Purpose!!

I have been working as a licensed massage therapist for 5 years, I was introduced to this product while in school, and I feel it is one of the best products available. Its consistency is excellent for general massage as well as deeper work. I especially love how it melts like butter! It starts as a white cream, and with the warmth of your hands as you rub them together it changes to a clear almost-oil-like consistency. Worked great, but it goes rancid within weeks

I liked it when I first got it, but I was using it for my family - not a business, so I didn't use it up in a short time. Within a couple months, it started smelling rancid, and I ended up having to throw most of it away.
