The S.5 is a small individual speaker that can be utilized for many purposes. It's a great starting point to build a home theater system for a small or mid-sized room. Good value,bright detailed sound......

I needed new speakers for my home theater system, so after doing some online research,I decided to try the Athena's out.I ordered these satelites,a matching center channel,and a powered subwoofer from amazon for 50% off last month.Out of the box the speakers didn't impress me,they sounded "tinny" and "harsh".I thought about returning them, but decided to wait a little while.The manufacturer states that a "break in" period is required for these speakers to attain thier full potential,and they are right.I listened to these speakers again after they were broken in,and I am pleased with them.I would describe the sound quality as "very detailed",and rather "bright".I would recommend these speakers as long as a subwoofer is used with them.

AS CLOSE AS A BLADE

I recently purchased the Braun Free Control #1775 electric shaver and I can honestly say that it shaves as close as my old reliable Gillette Sensor razor. I've tried other Braun models costing up to 5 times the price of the Free Control and none of them shaves as close. I think the secret is that is uses just one large cutting block which is heavier and closer cutting than those 2 headed models. Also, the floating foil head is MUCH THINNER than the more expensive Braun models. It floats up and down on your face, and the foil itself is very flexible so it compresses onto the cutter and you barely have to press the shaver to your face. For $35. this shaver out performs $150. models and is an unbelievable value. Don't waste your money on anything more expensive, they don't get any closer than this!!!

Excellent Shave, especially for those with the "Fred Flintson" effect

I found this razor to be the best one I have ever used! Having sufferd from the "Fred Flintson Effect"(i.e. perminate 5'0clock shadow) all of my life, I have always found it hard to get a close shave, and would always end up with razor burn and having to shave twice a day. WIth this razor, and a little effort, I get a really close, smooth shave which last the day! The charge is quick and last a long time. It is easy to clean, so you constintly get a better shave. FOR THE PRICE and all around quality, you can't beat this razor!

Nice Electric Shaver for the $$$

I'm just an average guy who's been using shaving cream and a razor for over 30 years now. Recently I have been using the Fusion razors. Sure, they provide a close shave, but damn, those refills are expensive.So, I got this Braun. The price was right. The reviews were right.It does take your skin a couple of weeks to get used to the electric. But it's fast and close.The charge holds up well. You can charge it then go on vacation for a week and it still shaves.The side trimmer works well and cuts through any length of hair.Get this Braun, you won't be sorry.

Mizerak Billiard Premium Table Cover

Absolutely indespensable!

I have a previous model of this wonderful radio & just received THIS model for father's day. It is by far the coolest, neatest, most useful item around. Radio (fm, am, shortwave) flashlight, cell phone charger (with lots of adapters), siren and red blinking lights. Best of all - the hand crank works great. Needs about 1-2 minutes of cranking for 45 minutes or more of use (roughly). I keep it in the car for camputs and for storm situations and the like. Has a slot for headphone and an optional power adapter and takes regular AA batteries but I never bother. Just crank it up a mintue or so and its works great.If you are stuck on a present idea for ANYONE, ths is THE gift to get. Fun and very useful. I also get a kick explaining to the kids how the hand crank dynamo works.

Pretty great, affordable little radio

Sounds nice, looks nice, and sturdily built. Another reviewer "bet" that it was not made in Germany... he's right, it's made in China. Not sure why that matters except for snobbery. Winding the dynamo for 60 seconds or so results in a charge for a few minutes. Not bad, but only useful in emergency situations. Put some AA batteries in and you're set. The light is pretty bright, the siren super annoying, so you're set to drive each other crazy when the world ends.

A Must for Disaster Kits, Emergencies or Camping

Living in central California, the most probable emergencies we face in OUR AREA are earthquakes and power outages. The Eton FR250 should suit our needs best - as long as radio & cell phone towers are still standing! The FR250 has 7 shortwave bands that might provide information from outside our area if local communications are lost. I let the built-in rechargeable battery (a replaceable 3.6 volt portable telephone battery) completely discharge and then cranked the dynamo the recommended 2 turns per second for 2 minutes (with a short break in between). It provided enough power for the radio to play at a moderate volume for 95 minutes - RATHER IMPRESSIVE and the 2 1/2 inch speaker provides very clear and pleasant audio. Another nice feature is the fine tuning knob.With the built-in battery charged or with the 3 AA batteries, the flashlight will light in very dark conditions (tho not brightly), a path approximately 50 feet.This little radio packs plenty of features at a reasonable price. A must for disaster kits, emergencies, camping or even giving as a gift.

Awesome scanner!

I purchased this scanner (with headset) about 1 month ago and I'm thoroughly pleased with the scanner itself; I haven't used the headset as yet as it is quite large and heavy. I've had no problem at all with the reception or clarity and the volume is good as well. I love the portability of this unit; I only wish the batteries lasted a bit longer, but...oh well. I use the rechargeable batteries and they last about 12-15 hours of constant use. Maybe that is acceptable for rechargeables, I've never used them before now. Overall, I am very pleased and would recommend this scanner to anyone looking for a good, reasonably priced, portable scanner.

Got this as a gift for my husband. Works nice but not extremely user friendly to figure out. You need the instructions every time you go to a race to put the codes in to remember all the steps. Otherwise you can't figure it out easily.

Great Product

I had this product for about 25? years until it finally wore out. I was pleased to find it is still manufactured and just ordered one.I found it to be effective, gentle on the vinyl and virually bulletproof.It also has a handy self-cleaning device built in and the fluid is injected from the rear, eliminating the problem of spotty wetting.I doubt there is a better product in this price range

AMAZING

I started to collect vinyl records recently and I had bought a whole bunch from garage sales and goodwill's. Most of my records were extremly dirty and needed to be cleaned ASAP! So I went to look for the DISCwasher because I heard it was the best, but when I researched I found it not to be as great as the one back in day. So I kept browsing and found this gem. I had so many records that popped and even skipped and now they play like brand new!! Sooo worth the money!!!!

Outstanding basic record cleaner.

I got this to replace a Discwasher D4 that I lost; when I went to look at new Discwashers they simply aren't as well-made as they used to be... So, I got this instead. It's a very nice high-quality Japanese unit; materials and workmanship are really surprising for the price and there's absolutely nothing cheap or chintzy about it. It has a nice, clean look and a pleasant feel. There's a tray with a built-in scraper brush to clean the unit, a very nice touch. As far as I'm concerned, this is the record cleaner to get.
