The best birthday gift I've ever received!

My wife picked out this particular razor for me after I placed a much cheaper brand in my Amazon wish list. I'm glad she spent the extra money on this one instead. It is designed flawlessly, and you can see and feel the quality of it compared to its cheaper counterparts. The shave that I get from using it is perfect, although it takes a few minutes more to shave with this rather than the cartridge type blades I used before. The razor blades are far cheaper than the cartridge type also (about 20 cents each compared to about $2.25 each), but I get a much closer shave with them, so I win both ways. The brand of razor blades will vary in sharpness, so if one brand doesn't work to your satisfaction, you might want to change brands. The razor came with a Merkur blade, which was way too sharp and cut my face to ribbons, but I changed to Derby blades and have been getting perfect shaves ever since. The only flaw I can think of is that the handle is smooth and has the potential to be slippery, although I haven't lost my grip on it yet. If that's the worst thing about it, then I'm sure I'll get many happy years of use from it. I look forward to using it every morning. This razor won't even get passed down to my son; he can buy his own when he gets old enough. This thing will get buried with me after I die!

Wow!

I just purchased this and am going from a Mach 3. I'm simply amazed at how all the 'technology' we have today is so much worse than this. This thing is painless...no pulling, no tugging, no discomfort, & I didn't cut myself even on the first try. The #1 setting cuts as close (if not closer) as the Mach 3 so I'm not sure if I want to go any closer. I have ultra sensitive skin for the record, and can only shave every other day, but now that might change.Don't be fooled by those who say this is difficult to use. It isn't. Just hold the razor head perpendicular to your face and rock it back until you find the spot where it cuts. Just don't do something stupid like move it sideways or bear down because you certainly don't need too. Sometimes I think people want to feel like they are doing something more important so they create the illusion that it is more difficult than it really is. I don't use a badger hair lathering brush or any other fancy thing...just a sensitive shave gel (in the shower) and you are off to the races. Also, it doesn't take 20 minutes like some say. Maybe a little longer than the Mach 3, but I'm just being careful in the beginning. Oh, and it was a concern of mine that the handle looked slippery, especially because I shave in the shower, but it isn't. I had zero problems holding onto it while it was wet.The seller shipped it fairly quickly as well.

Best razor value in the Merkur line

The variations in quality between double edged blades available today from manufacturer to manufacturer, and often from batch to batch, make an adjustable razor almost an essential if you want to continue to wet shave. This has a blade bender adjustment screw and I've found that I can get an acceptable shave using blades that I considered unusable with my non adjustable Merkur classic. Simple and ruggedly bulit, should last a lifetime.

Excellent product and service

If/when blade changing instructions are followed properly, the adjustment knob at base of razor always reverts back to original setting. Per instructions, alignment of notch on head with arrow base receiver is necessary else it will be 180 degrees off alignment. MERKUR DE razors are second to none in quality of comfort and construction. Highly recommended. The only disappointment was/is the adjustment knob shown on seller's Amazon store website is inaccurate. It is indeed bone color plastic unlike seller's picture of item showing metal knob. Other than that - no complaints.

Excellent Razor

I switched from using over-hyped, triple-blade razors to an "old-fashioned" double-edged safety razor (Merkur). I now get a closer shave with no ingrown hairs and "bumps". The Merkur DE safety razor is a fantastic tool.

Excellent product

I purchased this item to replace my Hoover vacuum cleaner which wasn't doing the job on the pet hair. One of the reasons I wanted it was that the belt on my Hoover was constantly breaking. This vacuum has a CHAIN instead of a rubber belt, so it will NEVER break! Not only that, this vacuum does the job on any type of dirt, dust or pet hair. It is worth every penny because I was on a cycle of buying a new vacuum every one to two years at approximately $200 a pop. My cleaning lady raves about it, and says it's much better than my old Hoover or even a Dyson, which she claims are completely overrated. I love my pet-hair free floors!!

The Sebo vacuum is the best all-around value, simply because you can disassemble it and clean any obstruction, without tools. And the performance on different surfaces from one machine is astounding, one thing for sure the Germans know how to make a machine. While vacuuming the carpets you take the wand thats built into the machine and vacuum the drapes as you go, no loss in time for setup you actually make time. A couple of my friends had Kirby brand, $1200.00 in the trash no longer working, a big waste of money. Another friend Rainbow brand, $2,400.00 and yep it's not working and hidden in the closet, replaced by a cheap Dirt Devil. My friend gets a little miffed when vacuums are mentioned. I've had mine for four years now with no problems except for replacing the cord. Another aspect I like about the Sebo is the service kit, filters, rubber catch strip that catches particles on hard floors to be contained until there're vacuumed, very easy to change and reasonable in cost. I suspect that I will have this vacuum for fifteen or twenty years and that makes this a great value.

Best vac for your money

My wife and I have a janitorial service. We use this vac and have bought MANY. When we first started up years ago we went through Hoovers like nobodys business. Went to Sears and bought Sears Professionals, these were good but the motors were weak and could be burned out. When they stopped making the then current design Sears Pro model we searched til we found this Sebo. Turns out it is the same machine. We bought a couple and found it had more power and more durability. The Sebo is fully made in Germany and the comparable Sears was made in Germany with American motors.We have NEVER broken a belt on any of these machines, they have a clutch drive that disengages the motor from the brush should it jam. They have sensors that tell you if you have a full bag or a clog. Some of the machines are touchier than others and sometimes the machine isn't really full when it says it is. Make sure you check for fine dust though, it can reduce suction and cause a full bag light. The attachments work GREAT. The wand is a must for a cleaning service. No complicated assembly just to use an attachment. Just pull and use it. The filters have a long life, I change bags weekly (they ARE full or close), change the filters every 6 months and the roller brush once or twice a year, but remember these vacs are used daily 5 or more hours daily. As for the height adjustment, it is fully automatic and even though it may be somewhat slow when going from carpet to wood it is very worth it as most people tend to vacuum too low and wear out brushes and belts too fast because of that reason. The G model is nowhere near as durable, so beware of that one.

Best vacuum I ever owned!!!

I purchased this vacuum about a year ago after researching several models on the web. This was one of two that I considered. I'm VERY glad I chose this Sebo. It picks up extrememly well (I don't have pets) on carpet and on wood floor. I was skeptical of using it on wood floor because I thought it would shoot the dirt across the room like my former vacuum did. It didn't! It picks up everything. The bag is super easy to change. I haven't changed the filter yet. It was recommended to be changed after every 10 bag changes, but I still haven't gone through ten bags! I can't wait to buy another of these for upstairs and the basement. It's a little heavy to lug up and down the stairs, but that's my only complaint.

Exhaust filter needs constant replacement

...at great expense!!! And you can't just not replace it because the machine won't run if it's not replaced after, appromimately, every five bags. When it runs, it runs great (even though it is not great on bare floors, as it doesn't have the option to disengage the beater bar. The biggest problem is, it's very fussy as to when it will and will not run. It seems to be very temperamental immediately following a bag change.

Quality, Loud Bass. Worth every dollar.

It goes loud when you really, really want it, but the quality is why you buy this thing.If you're looking to drown the rest of your audio system out and annoy neighbors, there's a lot cheaper ways to do it. This is for those of you who want the drum beats in my music to hit like a drum, not to make synthesized bass notes drone on for minutes at a time.Powered by a JL 500/1v2, this thing made listening to drum solos an enlightening experience.

Jl Audio subwoofer

Purchased A stealth box for my vw golf and after a year it gave out and burned up... I bought this so I did not have to go without while it was sent out for warranty replacement. Jl audio is the best and sent me their newer version of this sub! Excellent customer service at jl! When new sub arrived I put it back in the stealth box and made another enclosure for this sub I purchased at amazon. Now running two of these and WOW they really sound terrific! I would highly recommend running the best available and that is JL Audio all the way!!!!

best 10' sub ever

I bought 2 of these subs 2 weeks ago and wow. the performance is amazing i have them hooked up to a rockford t 1500 1bd and in a ported box. the box is massive but if you have the trunk space definetly worth buying. these subs hit so hard my roof flexes. its hard to describe in words the bass impact that these subs produce but you feel every baseline in your back.

you just wont find anything of this size that sound this hard period.10 inches, 500rms, long excursion sub...all the engineering and thinking behind this woofer are shown in the package is impressive hits hard but also wont miss a note its for demanding people if you want the best you wont go wrong with a 10w7 if you want something louder go for the massive 13" one but if you dont have much space like me or just want to have some trunk left this is the best buy

More bang for your bucks

This sub is of course more expensive than your average 10" sub, but you get more than what you pay for with this woofer. Prior to this one I owned a Planet Audio 10 sub with dual magnets and voice coils. I loved this sub and pushed it to the max for about 3 years, after that she finally cracked on me, unfortunately I couldn't find the same model that I previously had since it was no longer made. After MUCH research and product review reading I decided on the JL audio 10W7. I'd always heard they were great and figured if I'm going to spend another 400 plus on a subwoofer it might as well be a name I've known to be trustworthy. I was NOT disappointed. This ten with my set up knocks in my truck. If you read some of the other reviews people may say that it doesn't seem to have that much bass, or not as much as they thought it would have. Just like a good pair of boots you have to wear them in first. It took me a good couple of weeks at mid levels before she started to flex better. Once I noticed a little more punch in my bass I let it loose more. I'm about six months into this sub now and have absolutely no issues with it. Bass is still crisp and punchy and on the low frequency songs it vibrates the whole cab of my full size F150. If you are not looking to spend this much money then you may not be ready for this kind of set up. If you are willing to shell out the bucks then you wont be disappointed, as long as you pair it with a good enclosure and amp.
