By Joel Adamson
This is a real drumkit; it's worth the money to have real hardware, wooden shells, appropriately-sized (short and thick) drumsticks, a real snare, a kick-drum pedal and a real throne. Considering all that, the price on this makes it a steal. My two-year-old son beats the hell out of this thing, and seems to really be learning, and it stands up to the abuse. He LOVES it. The cons: the hardware holding up the tom and the snare seems to have loosened significantly so that the tom and snare drum rotate freely. I will be fixing this soon. Another minus: there's only one cymbal and it's not a hi-hat. This is not a big deal, but my son is already trying to cross his arms to play like a real drummer. My son is on the small side and so he doesn't use the kick drum at the same time as sitting on the throne; notwithstanding that, the size is perfect for him. Other reviewers have described the bass drum as the size of a large pot, and they must cook bigger meals than I do: it's more like the size of the rim of an SUV wheel.

By overlook1977
This is a great little kit for a small kid, but the picture definitely makes it look bigger then it really is. The bass drum is about the size of a large pot you would cook pasta in. I was a little disappointed when I saw the size, should have read the measurements more carefully.
