Love it!

Just got this and I love it!It's a PERFECT everyday watch! It's simple, classy, and clean looking!So cheap too - if you were to buy this watch in a store or in a mall it would easily be double what Amazon is charging.I got this watch because it's different from the few others that I own.I liked the Roman Numeral numbering on this watch - that adds a touch of class I think. I liked the hands with their white insets. I also REALLY liked that not only does it have the date, but the DAY of the week as well! Excellent for me because I ALWAYS forget the date.To top if off, it has the INDIGLO light! I didn't even know it had that! When you push in the dial, the whole face lights up! Very nice!This is the PERFECT watch.I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about - I do not feel that this watch is "bulky" or too thick. Yes, it has some thickness to it, but I own other watches that are much thicker. I feel that this watch is the perfect size. The band IS a little tough - it's a little on the thick side BUT I like that: leather bands always loosen up over time and the fact that it's thick means it won't wear out so quick like all my other watches!!!It's a beautiful, simple watch. I highly recommend it.Pros:- Style- Price- Nightlight- Date has Day of the week as well- SizeCons:- None! I love this watch!!!!!!!!

I give this watch a very low rating because the Amazon page gives the impression this would be a good, inexpensive, functional dress watch: "Add a classic complement to your business wear." Utterly false because the watch is a clunker. I do not have large wrists, but the watch is too thick to fit under a buttoned shirt sleeve. Also, the leather band is attractive but very stiff and almost heavy enough to be a belt. A lesser fault is that the hands reflect light in a way that makes reading them sometimes difficult. I think the basic appearance of the watch is excellent, but it is absolutely unsuitable for the advertised purpose. Amazon should always show the side views of its watches as well as the face-on view. I will explore a return, but I cracked the packaging in unwraping the watch (almost always the case these days with modern product packaging). Thus, the cost of return postage and a reduced refund probably just make this purchase a bad experience. I suggest strongly those looking at other Timex watches as well as watches from other makers be alert for the problems I had with this watch.

Excellent & Handsome Watch

First off, if you're looking for a great looking men's wrist watch for a great price, you needn't look (or read) any further... Just buy this one!!Several other reviews did not like the thicker-than-normal leather band, but I totally disagree! Right out of the box, yes, the band is very stiff, but within a couple of weeks it conforms to the curve of your wrist and is very easy to buckle/unbuckle. Typically, the leather band is the first thing to wear out, so the thicker band spells longevity as far as I'm concerned. Also contrary to other reviews, I did not find this watch to be overly bulky whatsoever. Sure, it's not ultra-thin like many high-dollar watches, but it's certainly not massive or clunky.Its timekeeping has been completely accurate so far, and the "Indiglo" feature offers excellent visibility in low-light situations (simply push in the stem). I will say that the date is sometimes hard to read... primarily the "teen" numbers (the "1" is exactly in line with the inner circle on the face). At first glance, a 12 could easily be mistaken for a 2, but obviously that's not a big deal... unless you've somehow lost total track of how far into the month you are!!I also love the "quick-date" feature... no need to manually rotate the hands around and around to adjust the date. Just pull the stem half-way out, turn it slightly to change to the correct date (forward or back), then push the stem back in... done!Bottom line... attractive watch; completely suitable for casual/business attire; nice features; great price; the end!!
