Good Switch - Very bad cables

The switch has nice features. One can switch from the unit or from the keyboard. There are LEDs to indicate the status of connected systems.BUT, the included cables simply do not support high resolution. This switch is claimed to support 1920X1440 but I had lots of trouble getting 1280X1024 out of the cables. When I used my cables from an older IO Gear 4-port switch I was able to get the proper resolution.

Review of IOGear 8-port KVM switch

This is a very decent KVM switch, and unlike some cheapo 4-port switches, I have no problems with some machines reacting to being switched away from. The LED system is very intuitive. The blue power LED is possibly the brightest LED I've ever seen. I had to put some tape over it to keep it from overpowering the room when it's dark. Good quality case and rackmount system too.

Worked right out of the box. No issues.

I had a iogear 4 port kvm switch, but had to upgrade to this 8 port. Worked great right out of the box. I have 3 windows desktops, 1 laptop and 2 Sun Solaris workstations. I had previously purchased a PS/2 to Sun converter box to make the Sun systems work.It's true about the power light, very bright... put a piece of electric tape over it and it's not as bad now.

In Focus X3 Projector

This projector met my expectations. For the price it was the best deal. I have a large living room but do to the shape and layout a 56 to 60 inch TV would hinder the movement in and out of the room because it would stick out 2 feet. By using this projector I not only keep the 2 feet but I can also move this unit at any time with very little effort. It also can project much wider than 60' and there are no bad seats in the room. I have had no problems with it as of yet, and do not forsee any problems in the future.

WARNING: Very fragile mirror tunnel behind the color wheel....

This line of projectors seem to have a fundamental design flaw that needs to be addressed in a recall by InFocus. There is a very small mirror tunnel behind the color wheel (looks like a long prism) that often fails as it is very fragile. This tunnel concentrates and channels the light to the DLP chip and if it collapses it can cause a dark (not black) band to appear at the left/right 1/10 portion of the screen. This band gets wider with time.The reason is that the glue connecting the four rectangular mirrors of the mirror tunnel peel from the heat; in my projector, one of the mirrors had slipped and fallen in.Otherwise a fine projector! If only inFocus would replace these defective mirror tunnels!

Good Projector

I use it in school and it does a great job.It is very bright and lights do not have to be turned off to see it, plus it is very easy to connect to the PC, speaers, or Video projector. I like the fact you do not need a PC to use the unit.I connected my PC and DVD both worked fine.I did have a small problem and tech support was excellent2 disappointing things1. You must use the remote (IR) to turn the lamp off If you do not use the remote to turn off the projector the projector does not go through a cool down mode which will affect the life of the lamp.2. DLP is the newest technology but the colors are not as good and accurate as LCD projectors

This Electronic Switch is WAY better than mechanical ones

I ordered one of the mechanical sVGA switches so I can connect 2 sVGA 1080p sources into my Westinghouse LVM-37W3 1080p LCD, one of the source being a XBOX360. The results were lousy with wrong contrast and dynamic range. This active switch was perfect at 1080p with both my XBOX360 and my DELL XPS's X800XT sVGA output into the Westy LVM-37W3.Paul

Boy am I glad I bought this! You see, I've got two computers on my desk, and two monitors: one for the desk and one for the treadmill. So, I bought this so I could run two monitors into one cable that goes to an amplified VGA splitter that powers both monitors. I wanted to be able to switch both monitors simultaneously between both computers.Well, I purchased this switch based on the reviews and it works great. My desk monitor is an old really big CRT, and when it switches between computers it doesn't go through the painful sounding "switch off and back on" click that used to happen with an older KVM switch. With this thing, the CRT just blinks from one computer to the other. This is an excellent product and to me certainly worth paying extra for, and just may extend the life of my old monitor too.

Great For Xbox 360!

I got this switch for connecting a Xbox 360 and a computer to a 19" Sony LCD. The results are awesome. My computer looks blurry but I blame that on the cheap VGA cable I bought and not on this switch. Super easy to set up and use. I highly recommended it.

pros:It's a solid wood set for sure.very good quality and finish.has magnets to hold the case closed.feels very warm.simple.It's not super glossy, like my grandpas..far better grip/look than plastic or wood/plasticcons:sometimes one old guy asked me "is this guy mine or yours?", the whites are clear coated and some wood can be quite dark, and the dark guys can be quite bright, but it's really minor, unless you are almost colorblind..made in China (cant trace wood source or labor anywhere online), dont expect to see a sticker "from sustainable forest"end:would I purchase this again? probably yes, it is the least expensive solid walnut set 17"

Awesome shelf space

I just got the shelves a week ago, but so far I'm very pleased. I'm using them as two separate shelving units - one for my clothes and the other for random stuff, including heavy textbooks.They were easy to set up. Although there were no directions, you just had to put in 16 screws (hex key provided), then the shelves are place securely on the horizontal bamboo supports.

great product

I live in Florida where the fleas are numerous to say the very least. Have been getting this product from amazon for awhile and it seems to do the job pretty well. The price is great and the retailers in the area can't even come close to beating it.Since we have the fleas all year (we don't get the freeze break like in the north), my dogs and cats are constantly picking up "fresh" ones in the yard every day. But they don't last long on the treated pets.People that say this product doesn't work in the Florida area have to remember that the "newly" acquired fleas don't die "immediately" upon contact with the animal. It may take a couple of hours. All of the fleas I have found after brushing my dogs were dead-on-arrival.

Although we live in tick country, my experience with Frontline has been that it doesn't handle either ticks or fleas. Advantage prevents the summertime horror of flea infestations, common to multi-pet households, and keeps my flea-allergic guys happy. I love it.

The fleas have been almost out of control this past year. Flea collars, baths and other topical flea products did not work. I used Advantage on my dog, repeated again in two weeks and now he is doing well on a monthly schedule. Happy dog and happy owner!

A great shoulder rest.

Compared to most shoulder rests this one seems ridiculously over priced. However, as I have found over the last month of daily use it is worth the extra money. Yes, it is a neat thing that it is made from lightweight and highly durable carbon fiber but quite honestly the real advantage with this shoulder rest is it's adjustability to your own anatomy and playing style. With most other shoulder rests there is only one way to put them on the violin and to have it rest on your shoulder. This one permits you to adjust the positioning of the shoulder rest on the violin and thus the position of the violin relative to the player. It is well made with durable soft plastic feet that shouldn't dry out and crack. Unlike other shoulder rests which only offer three holes on each side you can adjust the width of the feet in a continuous manner with clamps. Initially I had to play around with the shoulder rest to find the optimal position but once that was found I was able to play without even noticing it and missing my old shoulder rest. There are a few downsides with this shoulder rest. The first there are no directions so as far as adjusting it and finding the most comfortable position you are on your own. The second is the price but a little shopping around you can generally find it less than the list price.

Cool but not functional for me

I tried this shoulder rest out and chose the Kun Bravo instead. While the adjustments feature on the Voce is innovative for the violin, the Bravo was a better physical fit for me over the Voce. I did not notice any significant difference in sound properties between the two shoulder rests.

My new favorite

I have tried many brands and types of shoulder rest for violin over the years and have found the Kun brand the most comfortable and secure. When the Kun standard came out, it became my favorite. Then, the Kun Bravo came along and took my heart. It functioned about the same as the standard, but the wood model was just too cool. When the carbon fiber Voce came out, I was a bit put off by the price, but decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. It is light, secure on the instrument, fits my shoulder wonderfully, and as a result I hold the violin securely with little fatigue. My teacher tried it and he has converted to the Voce. I predict it's use will spread through the orchestra the way Evah Pirazzi strings did. I own several violins and really appreciate the ease in which the Voce adjusts to different widths of instrument. Summary: I love it.
