Great pickups

These are great pickups. I popped these into my Mexican Strat along with some locking tuners and upgraded electronics (all told around $200) and it sounds better that most stock American Strats now. Installation was simple (if you are not handy with a soldering iron have a shop take care of it) although I was a little confused that the bridge pickup had the differently colored wires and not the middle pickup (which is usually wired out of phase with the neck and bridge).

Great PU, no hum

Dropped these into a MIM Strat. No hum and retained the classic strat quack and clarity. They're sensitive to height adjustments, so tweak 'em to taste. I tried the Dimarzio Area pu's and lost some of the signiture Fender quack and clarity. I prefer these. If you want the Fender sound, then buy Fender pu's. Lesson learned.

Hot Nosieless Finder pickups

The pickup are great. I added them to my Strat with TBX pods and a 500k vol pod. The only problem I have was with Amazon. They sent me the wrong color pickups. I need to get the pickups into my Strat ASAP and didn't have time to mail them and wait. Buy your pickups from a store if the case color is important to you. Standard Stat covers will not cover the Nosieless Hot pickups.

NO SUN :(

I got this for my mom for mother's day because she has a gorgeous garden. She opted to put it on the deck so she can hear the water when they hang out under their canopy thing. From what I understand about a lot of solar panels is that they should be able to store up some energy; the only major disappointment I came across is that whenever the panel is even half way in the shade, the fountain stops running. When the sun is shinning bright, it trickles away.So if you're planning on using this outside, be prepared for an on again, off again fountain unless you have sun all the time. Mind you, I didn't expect it to work all night; but I did think if it got cloudy for 5 or 10 minutes, it would work throught it.But overall, my mom loves it and everyone that's seen it, adores it.

Very Nice

I've had my hands on so much Chinese junk lately, that I forgot what a quality tool feels like... and this is quality!Oil-coated in a bag in the box but easy to wipe off (not the gummy stuff). Made in New Zealand. Comes with a set of 2" jaws and fully compatible with the other Nova jaws. Very nice feel, smooth working action with the levers. Already threaded with 1"x8, so there's no extra cost of an adapter. I'm glad I got this one.I see that Amazon doesn't carry this item and it's listed on here by a third party seller. I can not make a comment on that sellers performance, I got mine at Woodcraft.Update June 2007: I've heard that production of this unit may have been moved to China. My review applies to the model made in NZ.

Awesome crash!

All I really have to say about this cymbal is it's great. Cheap price for it and it sounds awesome. It has the lighter kind of crash sound and isn't dark and deep. All about the what the drummer likes, but I can't think of anything I don't like about it. Had it since Christmas and no damage at all, and I'm a hard player. Would really recommend adding this to your set.

Really Good Crash

These cymbals are really good, awesome crash and ping, the only thing i didnt liked is that i trought they were a bit *clear* or *in a higher tone*, but its all about what people likes, overall the crash is really good and can be used for recording with awesome results.EDIT: Actually it was time that i needed to get adapted to these cymbals, they are amazing, 5 stars for them.

Good Curling Iron

I was searching for a two inch curling iron for a while. I have had so -so dealings with Gold N Hot in the past so I was a little nervous but I purchased this one anyway. So far, so good. It's surprisingly light (at least compared to my one inch ceramic tools curling iron). I usually let my hair air dry and use my curling irons to straighten my hair as I curl the ends (I'm black with a relaxer.) I have yet to do it with this one. Although I might try b/c it gets really hot. (I usually have it on around 20-25 out of 30)The only problem is that the ceramic can chip off (It happened with the first one I bought, but I returned it and got a new one that hasn't chipped so far) and it's so big that if you take your thumb off the spring grip, it can be hard to get it back on (I have huge hands too.)

Works beautifully

I am a big fan of 2" curling irons, but they can be difficult to find. My last one (different brand) wore out a couple years ago and I had a hard time finding a replacement until now.I have shoulder length hair, fairly thick, plus wavy and frizzy. 2" curling irons do a great job of smoothing and straightening my hair, while also turning it under (or up, if desired) at the ends for a nice, finished look. I find it much easier and faster than using a traditional flat/straight iron while achieving superior results. You will not get "curl" with this curling iron. You will get smooth hair quickly and easily. Highly recommended.

Short life span

don't get me wrong...this iron works well at straightening your hair and it gets REALLY hot. However, it only served me for about a year, if that long. Last week, I went to turn it on, and ten minutes later the plates were still cold. I dont know what happened, because it was not dropped, the outlets were fine, and it showed no signs of wear. I was displeased with its short life span, because when you spend 40 bucks on something, you expect it to last more than a year.

Great Dryer and Great Price!

Pros:-My hair definetely dries much faster and comes out silkier-Priced very well for a professional hair dryer-I don't care about how it looks, but it is a good looking dryer-Flexible hanging loop (was worried my hook was too large for it)-A lot of reviewers said they felt it was heavy - I didn't notice that at all. Same weight as my other dryers.Cons:-I use the nozzle attachments, but unlike previous dryers I've had, they do not go on or come off easily.-The nozzle attachments get *EXTREMELY* hot. You can't take it on and off while drying because it will burn you bad. So, no alternating between nozzles for sure. This also makes me wonder if the nozzle fries my hair when it comes in contact with it.-The on/off and warm/hot are toggle switches that are located right where your fingers wrap around to hold the dryer's handle, so you end up accidentally turning the dryer off or changing the temp by accident. That gets a little annoying.All in all, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Anything that can save me time in the morning, and make my hair smoother is a big bonus for me. Would definetely recommend this dryer!

Not for Amateurs

If you are a master at wielding a blow dryer, you'll probably love this. I find it too heavy and big for my hands when I am using the blow dryer to straighten my hair. With that said, the various heat settings work well. The concenrator attachments work fine for me. I purchased this model in part for the comb attachment, but I can't manage the dryer properly with it attached.Update: When I am not using the dryer to straighten my super curly hair, I like it. My current hairstyle requires an hour under a bonnet dryer. I can dry my hair in half the time using this hand-held dryer.

Great dryer

I just got this dryer for Christmas, and I absolutely love it! My hair has zero static, which is unusual during the winter. Usually it takes about 15 minutes, at the minimum, to dry my hair, but with this dryer, it only took 5 minutes! I would buy this dryer for everyone I know!
