Wonderful

I was a little hesitant to buy a refurbished item but it came in like new. I had lost my first recorder of the same model and this one as a replacement works just as good. (It actually came with more stuff than with my previous purchase!) The recorder itself is great, voice quality on the recording is superb and you can record from far away and still hear it as if you were right next to the speaker. A must have and a great deal for college students!

I read reviews about this product before buying it. This unit records in WMA format and I have a Mac but it's not an issue because of freeware called SWITCH www.nch.com.au/switch which easily converts those sound files. It sometimes has a few quirks like the unit is hard to pull apart to expose the USB connector, and occasionally the battery compartment opens, and sometimes I have to reformat to reset the brains. but those things aside the recordings are great. The automatic level control works so well it records speech for my purposes, as well as my imac with an external mic. Its very small and portable. For the price (under $40 with shipping) the problems are relatively insignificant. I like it so such, I bought another one for a friend.

Perfect for some

This is a great little machine for portable usage.I do wish there were more formats to choose from.I do wish there wasn't a delay in immediate record time.I love the USB port so much.I take this with me everywhere I go around my neck.All in all, for the price, this is a nice little toy to capture life with when you don't want to lug around anything bigger or more expensive.
