I love my new Rohl sink

I bought my new sink online, and I love it. It is very heavy and sturdy, and looks great. I put it in a 1929 house - it fits the era, but somehow looks like it could be in a modern kitchen.Some notes -- it requires an extended flange for the insikerator garbage disposal, which is about impossible to find. I should have ordered it with the sink. I had to go to 6 hardware stores to find it and it was $70.My contractor had to make a custom steel support for it as it weighs 205lbs - he was concerned about the weight when filled with water.I also got the Rohl U4719L faucet to go with the sink, and could not be happier.

Beautiful Sink--But Not For Everybody

This sink is stunning once installed, and guarantied to be the focal point of your new kitchen. But before you purchase, let me tell you the downsides:1. Heavy Heavy. You will need two people to lift this sink, even for a few inches.2. Not Plumb. If you install the front to be in line with the front of the cabinet, it may not be in line, or parallel with the rear. These are handmade sinks and are far from perfect.3. Bottom of Sink is Not Sloped Very Well. This sink does not drain very well, and you will find pooling in portions of it.4. Challenging to Install. Undermount under granite or solid surface is the ideal installation, but there is no kit for this, so the sink has to be raised up by hand and shimmed into place shim by shaim, side by side. Flush mounting is even more challenging and one has to be spot on, and the three sides may not be level, so the sink may have to be pitched slightly to align to the tile, further wrecking drainage.5. Get the Wire Bottom Rack Accessory. This will protect the bottom of the sink.6. The Matching Rohl Faucet Really Doesn't Match. The Rohl Faucet for this sink does not have an adequate depth for the faucent, given the huge size of the sink. I'd pick another brand.In conclusion, I love the sink, but if you are looking for an easy, efficient, practical sink, pass on this one.

Never have been so disappointed in a product

Purchased this sink two years ago in bisque. A month ago noticed that there was a spot about 1/4" where the surface had eroded. A week later, I found another spot. I have treated this sink with the utmost care and was led to believe that it was a durable sink. Rohl said that they do not warranty this, but I could buy two products to touch up their sink that they market as very resilient. DO NOT BUY THIS SINK.
