4Sounds good for 8" subwoofer
By B. Weber
I connected this subwoofer through rg-6(coaxial) to my receiver over 30' of cable and it sounds great. The sub itself is only 7"s high, but it is much longer than I expected. The sub itself sounds clean and definelty powerful enough for a 15x15 living room. It is most likely too tall to place under most normal sofas, but it looks pretty unintrusive, so it is not the eyesore that a normal big subwoofer is. he connecters offer both RCA and speaker wire, which is nice. The controls are easily accessible to adjust the levels. Pretty high up it compared with my old Sony 12" sub, but is much more compact and the sound was actually a lot cleaner, of course it does not put out as much DEEP DEEP bass because it is only at 8" speaker. The case itself fits on either its side of on its feel. te only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it is unusually long, like I said. I am sure it is neccessary for the airspace needed, it just isn't that apparent fromt he pictures

3Good, Not Great
By Colby
I used this sub for about two years and recently sold it - so I do have experience with it. It is marketed as low profile, and it is, sorta, not quiet as compact as one would think. And although it is low to the ground (you can also stand it upright with stands that come with it - a nice touch), it is long, so I think in many applications the cube form most other subs come in may actually work better, take up less space. I think it provided a lot of bass irregardless of it's size, even compared to 10" and 12" subs. So much bass, and lose bass that I found it too much, and way to muddled. One would think a smaller sub would offer a tighter bass note. Construction is average, not so great finish. Paper cone and surround - although many others are also. If you can get this for $100 great, but when you start closing in on $200 better options are out there. This does not pair up well in most surround sound systems, home theater setups. I would give it a thumbs up for boomy bass for hip hop tracks, but not more "nuanced" listeners.

5Awesome at what it's designed for.
By got2catz
My wife sent me on a mission, a mission to purchase a subwoofer to replace the monlith subwoofer that was in our 20x15 Living room/Dining room. Went by the local CC and picked up the Lolita. I have it placed on top of a 6 foot entertainment center and my wife has covered it with appropriate decor. You really have to look for it. I have people try to find it when I they come over. As for the performace of the speaker, the bass is more than enough for easy to medium level music and works perfectly enough for movies. Yea, it's not a 12", but for what it is designed for, it is a 5 star product. If you want a subwoofer that is easy to hide and will fill out the lower spectrum of whatever you are listening to, this is the product.
