Excellent reasonably priced glass fiber toslink

Sonicwave is one of the best reasonably priced glass fiber toslink cable you can buy. If you don't want to use the ultra cheap plastic stuff, glass is the way to go. I have used this in my high end audio system and at 16 bit/44.1 KHz data rates, it sounds close to coaxial or AES/EBU. Great for applications where you don't want ground loops. I use it for connecting my Direct TV audio to my sound system and never have to worry about hum problems (which I always get when interconnecting a TV based system with the high end audio system). I feed it right into my Bryston DAC and the sound is excellent. Also use it to connect remotely located CD decks for less than critical applications.The cable is good for up to 24 bit/176KHz, but will fail to lock the Bryston at 24 bit/192K. Not bad for toslink.

The 280 filament Sonicwave Glass Toslink has twice the bandwidth that common molded plastic fiber Toslink conductor cables have which allows it to pass 2X higher harmonics of the 3.3 MHz Digital IR Optical fundamental which constitutes a better waveform and in turn yields audibly higher sound quality.
