5Of all the sealed headphonse these are without question the best and here's why
By David Solomon
These are probably the best sealed headphones ever made. As you may have read in various posted reviews, these headphones are neutral in terms of warmth and brightness.....They provide a wide soundstage with excellent clarity, rich and not intrusive bass. I prefer sealed headphones over open because of their ability to blockout noise. Open headphones sometimes do sound better, but when you're in a noisy environment, it doesn't matter how good your headphones are if they're open and allowing all the sound in. These particular headphones blockout about 16 db (to my ears)...I use them in the studio as well as with my ipod. I do suggest however looking into a portable amp for them, [...].If you've never heard Ultrasones before, you will notice they have a very distinct sound. Before deciding on these cans, I lived with FOUR of their models......the Hfi 550, the Proline 650 and the Proline 750. A quick mention about what they have in common.....they all offer amazing soundstages. However the Proline offers a wider sound stage, and seems a little less fatiguing at loud volume levels. But I found the proline to be awkward sounding in other ways. First of all, their flagship model, the 750s was simply too bassy. I listen to mostly classical music and I found the cellos, the basses, the tympanies, too prominent in the mix when using them. I wanted so badly to love those headphones too, cause they were the most comfortable models I've ever experienced. The 650s were a bit more neutral in the bass, but somehow they too weren't clear in the high mids, I felt certain instruments (the flute and some high violin notes in particular) were absent completely. The 550s were great for cheaper headphones, but they provided the weakest soundstage of the four. The room was definitely smaller when wearing those phones. I found the 550s actually sounded better with rock music than the 700s, mainly cause i think a lot of CDs today are a bit too trebly, and the slight lack of highs compensated for what I consider to be an exageration of treble in music. For my personal use and taste, the 700s provided the most clarity of any sealed headphone I've ever tried. You will probably be happy with any Ultrasone model you choose, however...my advice after trying all 4 for over 2 weeks, is that these are the best. Other sealed headphones I've used include the Bose triport, Quiet Comforts 2 and 3......those were simply consumer products and I found their sound to be quite awkward and funny, would never reccomend them to anyone. I spent many years using the Denon 950s......those are great but I don't believe they're made anymore and the Ultrasones may edge them out a little. Denon's new DJ model is laughable by comparison. I've also used the ever popular Sony 7509s and 7506s.....those headphones are competent enough, but without question a bit too warm, muddy and bassy for true realization of the actual sound. The 7509s used to sound different about 5 or 6 years ago, they started adding more bass to the model over time, I have 5 pairs of the 7509s and the oldest sounds entirely different and significantly flatter. If outside noise is no distraction to you then you are probably best off with another brand. I find Sennheiser and Grado make the best open headphone, preferably Sennheiser for comfort. Ultrasone is without question the number one maker of sealed headphones in the world. I have no doubts.

5Most Natural Sounding Headphones I've Heard
By AudioFan
These headphones are very natural for listening to music or DVDs. I am very impressed!I own the Sennheiser HD580, and I have been disappointed with how they sound. The frequency response of the HD580 is almost "perfectly" flat, but that kind of frequency response just comes off sounding unnatural to my ears.I have had the opportunity to listen and compare the Ultrasone HFI-700 to many popular and renowned sets, and I think these are superior. The other sets I've tried are the Sennheiser HD580, AKG 240S, Sony MDR-V600, and Sony MDR-7506. My main gripe with all the others is that the music just doesn't sound nearly the same as it does when listening using speakers. The cable on the Ultrasone HFI-700 is thick and seems very durable (as opposed to my Sennheiser HD580s), they are comfortable to wear, and the closed design means others in close proximity won't hear your music so easily. If you're in the market for high-end headphones, I highly recommend these.

5BEST HEADPHONES EVER
By Grant Bouchillon
Ok. so your sceptical about some 250 dollar headphones. GET OVER IT. these are by far the best headphones i have ever seen/heard. Top of the line professional quality. They were first recommended to me by a professional recording artist who raved about it over and over. They have the best sound quaility even out of a top of the line tube amp. They also are EXTREMELY comfortable over long periods of time aka don't hurt your ears even after 6+ hours of listening. Can also be quite compact if u need to transport. These are worth your money if u are lookin for some great sounding but not 600 dollar senheissers. Oh are also perfect for movie listening. Theres a reason it has surround sound in the name. I would recommend buying to anyone.
