5Goin' Moen!
By xkydivr
This is a beautiful faucet! It is 8.25 inches tall but you can get an extension for a vessel sink. It is described as "one hole mount" which is basically true but it comes with a 6.50 escutcheon which covers any existing holes.Installation on a new sink is straightforward. You will need an adjustable wrench, telfon tape, plumbers putty for the pop-up . I install the faucet before mounting the sink because you can tilt the sink to work underneath. I don't know if this is the correct method but it works for me.If you are replacing a faucet my advice is buy a "basin wrench" about $20 at a big box store. It will save your knuckles and temper. Depending on your set-up you will probably need to remove the "P" trap to install the pop-up thingy. Be sure to have a bucket and plenty of towels on hand. (ask me how I know this.)Amazon has the matching " roman tub" faucet, model #TS214.I hope this review will help with your decision.

5Such a beautiful faucet!

This is a beautiful and elegant faucet. It's almost too beautiful for my small, simple bathroom but I absolutely love it anyway! This is a very shiny, very classy faucet and it works the way a faucet should. It certainly improves the look of my entire bathroom! We were able to get this faucet installed with relative ease.....and by that, I mean I was able to get a local handyman to install it for me, without the need (and expense!) of a professional plumber. I am absolutely THRILLED beyond measure with this faucet and it comes with my highest recommendation!

4A premium grade water faucet
By PhotoGraphics
This faucet is sold at a premium price and my review will focus not only on how well it works, the quality of materials and construction and overall performance, but on how well it meets expectations for a faucet that sells for many times more than what you would typically find at your local hardware store. The first topic addresses the first impression upon opening the box. Frankly, I expected more attention to how well the parts were packaged. The first thing I noticed was a small plastic bag of sharp-edged parts thrown in the section that holds the actually faucet (which by the way was one of the few components that wasn't wrapped in tissue paper or in a plastic bag ... but yet is the #1 part that is exposed after installation). The actual faucet itself was not scratched on the product I received but I think that was more luck than anything else. There is a dedicated area for small parts in the box and it seems unlikely that the plastic bag of parts moved from there to where I found it. More likely is the person/machine that packed the box put it in the wrong area. If the faucet head ended up being scratched or nicked, I would have considered it unacceptable considering the selling price. Suggestion to Moen ... put a piece of tape over the compartment that is meant to hold the small parts. The next observation is that this is a very substantial faucet indeed. Internal components are solid brass with a solid metal outer structure coated in dense chrome (other finishes are available). There are few plastic parts and none that would be visible after installation. If you have a nice home and plan to live there for a while, I would consider this a good investment.Installation is routine, nothing special either way, so it would not be fair to rate the product on that topic. Likewise, it would be impossible to rate the faucet on long-term reliability, only to assume that the high quality, heavy duty components could be expected to last a long time. All moving parts move smoothly. A bit unusual for a bathroom faucet is that the spout swivels. Fortunately it self-centers perfectly dead center. If it did not self-center I think I would not like the swivel feature. The faucet's spout curves upward, which makes it appropriate to use with shallow vessel basins or standard flush sink bowls. For my remodeling project I plan to use a deeper surface-mounted vessel basin, which would not be compatible with the faucet as it is. After much searching of the Moen website I found a riser kit that lifts the faucet by either 3.5" or 7". Perfect for a deep vessel basin. Unfortunately I could not find how to order it at the Moen website. After more searching I found it available for sale at Amazon. For what it is, it's expensive at about $60, but Amazon lists the retail price at $116 so when I'm ready to buy it I will definitely buy it through Amazon. Moen S115 Waterhill Extension Kits, ChromeSummary: I have seen and purchased faucets recently at home improvement stores and I'm dismayed that for as much as $100 many are made entirely of plastic or cheaply chromed base metal. The Moen faucet is made the way it should be and priced accordingly. I see no negatives other than (for the price) Moen should ship their products with more care and attention to detail.
