Necessary Accessory

If you use your bandsaw to cut metal, then you need someway of slowing the blade down to prevent overheating. This product allows you to do it.

The JET 3-speed kit is very well made. The pulleys are machined steel or maybe cast iron - they are painted black so it's difficult to tell.I am happy with the quality but unfortunately, there was a problem installing this kit on my 1994 model JET 14 inch closed-stand bandsaw. The opening in the heavy-steel stand of my bandsaw isn't wide enough to accomodate the 3rd (fastest) belt setting.Otherwise, this kit bolted up to my saw just fine and ran perfectly (but on just 2 speeds).So, if you have an older JET 14 inch saw, this kit may not work for you unless you are willing to modify your stand.

Band Saw Speed Reducer

Excellent accessory for one model of Jet Band Saw. Heavy material, good value, and the only speed reducer I was able to find. (Sears no longer carries this item for their band saws.) Good price and fast shipping and receipt.
