My wife and I picked up this pen as a gift for a friend, and he really loved it. The pearwood looked fantastic and matches his style perfectly.

I have a heavy hand and break a lot of lead! This 1.4 mm lead will not break! The only hardness available is "B", but this draws a very nice dark line and is just a tad softer than the more common "HB".The lead pencil comes in a variety of configurations. The all plastic version can be had for about $20. The wood version $30 to $40. The super fancy resin body with metal end pieces can go for $60. (I have the $20 version and I am pleased!) The leads, although expensive (6 for $3) last a very long time and the price should not be a deterrent.The eraser is high quality white vinyl that is similar in size to a standard pencil eraser. The eraser is standard diameter, but must be necked down to fit the holder, so a standard refill will not work. Refill erasers (at 10 for $12) are very steep and not worth it. Keep the one that came with the pencil for emergency use and use a standalone eraser instead.
