Personal side by side

re: Bosch 11224vsr vs DH24PFDitto the previous review. Off hand I'd rate the Hitachi a conservative 15% more efficient at punching the same hole with the same bit. I have used the Bosch and liked it in the past but am glad I tried the Hitachi. Besides it's effectiveness it is also lighter and more comfortable especially if not using the detachable handle grip. It just seems to get after it more like the larger tools available than the mediums to smalls.

The New Champ

For quite some the Bosch Bulldog has been considered by many the best rotary hammer in it's class. Not any more. A local tool show had an impromtu side by side test between the Bosch and Hitachi reps- the Hitachi won handily drilling faster each time. I'm pleased with mine, powerful yet lightweight.
