A great bag that fits a lot of stuff

I just returned from a trip to LA where I got great use out of this bag. I bought it in the hopes that it would fit my DSLR camera, Dell Mini 9 netbook, Kindle, Palm TX, MP3 player, cell phone, a book and several magazines. It fit everything perfectly. I did buy a "large insert" from Domke for extra protection for my camera. The mini insert that comes with the bag wasn't large enough for my Nikon D40. Turns out the large was a little too big...I might order the standard size insert. With all the interior pockets and the exterior pocket on the back it seemed that no matter what I brought with me for a day of exploring the J-803 could accommodate it perfectly. I also bought the U.S. Post Office Shoulder Pad which is a savior...no more of the bag sliding off my shoulder. I've had a number of Timbuktu bags but none compare to this Domke bag.

Great bag

I've had two of these; the first one I carried all over the western hemisphere while in college, and the second replaced the first after an accident involving my then girlfriend, a pair of scissors, and an argument about cats (don't ask).Being somewhat fickle, I moved on to other bags in different sizes and shapes, until this weekend. I ran into a guy in the airport carrying a really nice looking smaller Domke, so I stopped him and asked if it was new, and he said nope, he's had it a couple years. I get home and look at mine and as it turns out it's the same bag, except his was khaki canvas, and mine is black ballistic. My 11" air fits in the back pocket in a sleeve, and everything else I need to carry organizes well into all the pockets. A d700 with a 50mm 1.4, a 18-35mm zoom, and an assortment of other odds and ends (cards, cleaning cloth, sunglasses, etc), all with room to spare if I were to add a long lens to the mix. Really great bag.

Excellent

An excellent camera bag and general-purpose small messenger bag made from ballistic nylon, much like Tumi. This bag is slightly bigger than the "F" version, and with an extra two inner pockets. Unlike the "F", this is just big enough to hold a standard-issue Dell notebook computer (although if you are carrying around a notebook computer, then there's no extra space to hold a camera).
