5Mozart had this software...
By J. Gale
...in his head! (Well actually he probably had the several hundred dollar professional version of Finale). This is fantastic software, perfect for the beginner or amateur songwriter or arranger. The only drawback for me is the limit of 8 staves, but that would not be a problem for your typical band, only if you want to try orchestral composition and arranging (you would need the professional version). The Human Playback feature is great, it truly sounds realistic, not like MIDI. I cannot recommend this software enough!

5Learning to read and write music
By Howard R. Ingold
I purchased SongWriter without knowing how effective it would be in teaching how to read and write music. It turns out that it is excellent... especially when you have a piano keyboard connected by MIDI to the computer. Very user friendly.

5Excellent
By A Customer
This software isn't actually your excellent version of notation software, but what I mean is this: There is nothing out there that you can get this cheaply that works this well. If you are composing for an orchestra, you will need to pay a few hundred dollars and get the real thing, because Finale SongWriter can't notate for orchestra, but if you are just trying to write down some basic music for your own enjoyment or if you are trying to make your band's music look more official, this is the software for you.As a kid, this is something that I can buy with my own money easily compared to the hundreds of dollars that I would have to save to get the real deal, and this provides about everything I need to write band songs or duets to do with friends. It's easy to use, and it does not require one to study the manual for hours to understand. Even friends of mine who do not know how to read music have had a fair amount of luck creating what they want on it.

5Most Awesome Lego Technic Set Ever!
By wrench_turner
I am a 30 year old AFOL (Adult Fan Of Lego) and have been eagerly awaiting this set since seeing the preview pictures. I must say I was not disappointed when it arrived. Functions include 6-wheel steering (manually operated), extending/retracting outriggers (manually operated) a 6 cylinder engine with pistons that move in and out when the model is rolled on a surface, Pneumatic boom elevation, motorized hoist up/down and 3-section boom extension. The boom can also be (manually) rotated 360 degrees. This is a set with many functions that will delight mechanical minded folks both young and old. Build time was around 8 hours, and I have assembled many large Technic sets. If this is your first time it may take longer. The capacity of the crane isn't very much for its size, but it is really designed to showcase mechanical functions more than do actual work. This set also builds a cherry-picker type aerial lift truck (bucket truck) that looks interesting if you tire of the crane. For those interested in the parts, there are a good assortment of smooth beams and also a decent quantity of classic studded beams which seem to be getting scarce in the newer Technic sets. Of course there are plenty of the common Technic pins, liftarms, gears, etc. This set has the larget piece count (1884) of any Technic set ever produced! If you are a fan of Lego Technic don't even hesitate, buy it today!

5Great toy
By Chi2an
I have not been following the Technic series for quite a while but when I saw this I knew I have to get it. And get it I did. It might be a bit pricey, and personally I don't like motorized pieces because of uncertainty (might go kaputt anytime), but this sure is a looker! However it is not all perfect, IMHO; the outriggers could have been made more powerful (how so is another matter). The turntable could have been geared. There could have been another pair of wheels (imagine). There could have been suspension in the wheels. And the dummy steering wheel in front looks rather ridiculous. But nonetheless this is still a master piece. What's next, a giant fire engine? Count me in!

5Third lego crane - keep em comin
By Don
Another AFOL here. I bought this for my own Christmas present, needed to wait 7 weeks, and finally got to put it together over the spring. There are gobs of nice parts, and the crane does a very good job teaching mechanical concepts. As a learning tool it is a great value. As a parts tool it is a very good value. From shelf appeal, its better then ... well, a lot of things come to mind! One thing that is quite odd. The crane hook goes up and down w/ the boom as the boom extends. I reassembled the motor assembly twice, and the box indicates that they are separate control functions. Very odd.Steering is really neat, motor is fun, dual boom is spiffy, outriggers could have been a bit better, and it would not have been that hard to put a mechanical device in to turn the turntable ...This crane is a real step up from its 100.00 cousin... and my 4.75 yr old loves it!

5This is a great scope for the price
By jimby
Ignore the reviewer who has a grudge against Airsplat and hasn't followed Amazon's review guidelines. This is a review on the actual product...First of all this scope is fairly large with a 50mm objective; this means that on some rifles your might need higher scope rings to mount properly, but since every rifle is different, you might need to test on your rifle to see what type of rings that you need. Fortunately rings are not expensive. This scope has a mil-dot reticle, and once you learn how to use mil-dots, you'll never want to go back to a duplex or simple crosshairs, especially for long range target practice and range estimation. The reticle can be illuminated by internal LEDs (red or green) and the brightness is controllable by the top-mounted rheostat. I don't use the illuminated reticle often, but sometimes in low light it's very handy. One drawback is that it is easy to forget to turn the illumination off and drain the battery, so be sure to double check before you put your rifle away. The optical qualities of this scope are generally very good considering the price. At 3x the image is sharp and crisp, and at 9x there is only a slight hint of image softness toward the edges. The large objective keeps the image bright even in diminishing lighting conditions. There is a slight shift in eye relief in going from 3x to 9x, which is common in all but the pricier scopes, but you should make sure it doesn't bother you for your application. The scope has adjustable eyepiece diopter that seems to go to at least +/- 3, good enough for my eyes. More importantly, this is an AO (adjustable objective) scope, which means that the front lens group can be turned to focus as close 5 yards- great (and necessary) if you are mounting this scope on an air rifle for closer range shooting. The scope is also internally reinforced for mounting on springer air guns, and is rated to withstand the brutal reverse recoil on these guns that can tear other scope apart. The rings controlling both power (3-9x) and parallax/focus can be a little stiff to to turn, but not overly so. At least they will stay in the position you set them. The elevation and windage adjustments are easy to set with your fingers (they don't require a coin screw like some other scope), and seem to have plenty range (1/4 MOA). They are protected by screw-off covers. The scope also comes with a nice metal sunshade that screws on the front, and lens covers for the front and rear that can be aggravating sometimes - they are spring loaded covers that pop open occasionally on their own.Overall this is a nicely finished, optically very good mil-dot scope that is great for longer range targets, or for mounting on air rifles. Since it is a large scope, it might be slightly unwieldy on small carbines or lightweight rifles where another Leapers scope (the Bugbuster) might be more appropriate. A great value for the money.

5Good Image - Good Accuracy
By R. Skelly
A lot of scope for the money. After struggling with eye relieve with a mini-scope I bought a full-sized scope with a 50mm objective bell and high mounts. I now have an easy to see full, sharp image with a crisp light gatheringfield of vision.

5Great scope for the money.
By Thomas Lombardi
I wanted a scope with easy thumb knob adjustments to go on my Ruger 10/22, but didn't want to spend a bunch of money. I originally purchased the Bushnell, but the adjustments are hidden under covers and require a coin to adjust. The UTG has an allen locking screw which you can leave loose (under spring tension) so you can just reach up and adjust the knobs easily. I love the mil dot scale, and there's a chart included to figure out the distance. I'm so impressed with the quality and the performance I've ordered another.
